Yogyakarta, May 25, 2026 — Nisa Fredlina Mahardika Saputri, a student from the Faculty of Pharmacy at Universitas Gadjah Mada, has once again achieved remarkable accomplishments at the national level by winning three first-place awards in various scientific and educational pharmaceutical competitions throughout early half of 2026. These achievements were earned through innovative poster projects addressing issues related to mental health, neuroscience, and antimicrobial resistance using science-based educational approaches and creative visual communication designs.
One of these achievements was obtained at the Neuropsychiatry Poster Competition LERVIKASI 2025/2026, a national poster competition themed “Understanding Mental Health Through Sleep and Brain Science.” In this competition, Nisa won First Place through a poster highlighting the relationship between sleep quality, brain function, emotional stability, and mental health from a neuroscience perspective. The work was recognized for its ability to integrate scientific concepts with communicative, engaging, and easily understandable visual elements for the public.
Another achievement was earned at PHARMAPLAST IV 2025/2026, organized by Universitas PGRI Adi Buana Surabaya. Carrying the theme “Community Pharmacists as Educational Partners and Advocates for Mental Health,” the competition served as a platform for students to deliver mental health education through creative pharmaceutical-based media. In the national poster category, Nisa once again secured First Place with a work considered innovative, persuasive, and analytically strong in emphasizing the important role of community pharmacists in improving public mental health literacy.
In addition, Nisa also won First Place nationally at PHARMACOMP 2026, organized by the Pharmacy Student Association of Universitas Muhammadiyah Pekajangan Pekalongan. In the competition themed “Healthy Ecosystems: Reducing AMR Sustainably,” she presented a scientific infographic poster addressing Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR) and the importance of sustainable medical waste management as well as rational antibiotic use. The presented work was highly appreciated for effectively communicating evidence-based health messages through harmonious, educational, and applicable visual design for the wider community.
The success of Nisa Fredlina Mahardika Saputri reflects the dedication, creativity, and academic excellence of UGM Faculty of Pharmacy students in integrating pharmaceutical sciences with innovative and socially impactful public education approaches. These achievements also demonstrate the active role of students in addressing global health issues, ranging from mental health and sleep quality to antimicrobial resistance, through scientific communication media that are accessible to the public.
These accomplishments are also aligned with the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 3 (Good Health and Well-being) through raising awareness of mental health and rational antibiotic use, SDG 4 (Quality Education) through the dissemination of creative and scientific health education, SDG 10 (Reduced Inequalities) through strengthening inclusive access to health information, SDG 12 (Responsible Consumption and Production) through increasing awareness of sustainable medical waste management, and SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals) through academic collaboration and national scientific competitions that encourage student innovation in the health sector.
