Yogyakarta, 15 September 2025 – Two students from the Faculty of Pharmacy, Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM), have successfully won First Place in the Essay Competition category at the Anafarma Competition (ANFC) 2025. This national competition was organized by HMP D3 Anafarma, Poltekkes Kemenkes Malang, and took place from August 15 to September 30, 2025.
The UGM team, represented by Zulfana Raisya Chairunia Amir (24/537913/FA/14429) and Ika Pratiwi Nurprayitnawati (24/536292/FA/14422), outperformed other participants with their innovative essay titled “DOREMI SEKAR: Integration of a Digital Platform for Personalized Dosage Recommendations and a Precision Measuring Spoon for Liquid Medicine.”
ANFC 2025 is a national competition open to high school and university students across Indonesia, aiming to raise public awareness and literacy regarding pharmaceutical and food safety. The competition featured three categories: Essay, Poster, and Educational Video.
The “DOREMI SEKAR” project stood out for offering a practical and innovative solution to the common issue of liquid medicine dosage accuracy among the public. The project integrates a digital platform for personalized dosage recommendations with a precision measuring spoon, a concept praised by the judges for its real-world impact in improving medication safety.
This achievement not only brings pride but also aligns with global commitments to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The innovation directly supports SDG 3 (Good Health and Well-being) by focusing on patient safety and therapeutic effectiveness. Additionally, the integration of digital technology and precision tools reflects SDG 9 (Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure), promoting technological solutions to healthcare challenges. The competition’s emphasis on public literacy also contributes to SDG 4 (Quality Education) by enhancing public understanding of pharmaceutical safety.
Through the success of Zulfana and Ika, Universitas Gadjah Mada, particularly the Faculty of Pharmacy, continues to strengthen its reputation and contribution to the fields of health and pharmacy through national and international scientific competitions.
