Yogyakarta, August 24, 2025 – Another proud achievement has been made by a student from Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM). At the 2025 Nutrition Festival organized by the Nutrition Student Association of Universitas Bina Bangsa (HIMAGI UNIBA), Muhammad Fahri Fathi Farhat, a bachelor student from the Faculty of Pharmacy UGM, successfully won first place in the national poster competition carrying the theme “Youth in Action, Healthy Nutrition as Motivation.”
The 2025 Nutrition Festival is a prestigious event participated in by health students from various universities across Indonesia. The event aims to educate and promote the importance of balanced nutrition to the public, especially among youth. Through creative poster designs, participants were encouraged to deliver inspiring and accessible health messages.
The poster competition highlighted three main sub-themes: Creating a Generation Against Junk Food, Combating the Stigma of Extreme Diets with Balanced Nutrition, and Preventing Anemia: Active and Productive Youth. Participants submitted their works online from August 18–24, 2025. The judging results showed that Muhammad Fahri Fathi Farhat from the Faculty of Pharmacy UGM secured first place for his ability to present nutritional issues with a creative, educational, and visually engaging approach that carried a strong and relevant message for today’s youth. The second place was awarded to Melda Rubiatun Nabila from Universitas Sultan Ageng Tirtayasa, while the third place went to Fitri Aini from Universitas Negeri Malang.
The success of this Faculty of Pharmacy UGM student represents a tangible contribution of UGM in nurturing young generations who excel not only academically but also in their awareness and commitment to addressing public health issues. This accomplishment further affirms the presence of UGM students, particularly in the Faculty of Pharmacy, in supporting national efforts to raise awareness about balanced nutrition.
The 2025 Nutrition Festival also serves as an important learning platform for students to integrate scientific knowledge with creativity and social sensitivity. The participation of students from various universities across Indonesia reflects a collaborative spirit to collectively encourage healthy lifestyles among youth.
The implementation of the 2025 Nutrition Festival is in line with the commitment to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly Goal 3: Good Health and Well-Being. By promoting awareness of the importance of balanced nutrition, this competition supports efforts to prevent malnutrition, improve the quality of life for youth, and build a generation that is healthy, active, and productive for the future of sustainable development.
