UGM Faculty of Pharmacy Holds Graduate Program Open House for 2026 Student Recruitment

Yogyakarta, June 15, 2026 — The Faculty of Pharmacy, Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM), organized an online Graduate Program Open House Webinar on Monday (June 15). The event was part of the faculty’s outreach and promotional efforts to attract prospective students for the Odd Semester of the 2026/2027 Academic Year.

The webinar was attended by undergraduate and master’s students from various universities, as well as representatives from government agencies, the pharmaceutical industry, and health offices seeking further information about the graduate programs offered by the UGM Faculty of Pharmacy. Through this event, participants gained comprehensive insights into opportunities for advanced study, curriculum structures, learning systems, and admission procedures for the faculty’s graduate programs. 

Currently, the UGM Faculty of Pharmacy offers four graduate programs: the Master of Pharmaceutical Sciences Program (MIF), the Master of Clinical Pharmacy Program (MFK), the Master of Pharmacy Management Program (MMF), and the Doctoral Program in Pharmaceutical Sciences (DIF). These programs are designed to produce graduates who are academically excellent, innovative, and capable of contributing to scientific advancement, healthcare services, and the pharmaceutical industry.

The webinar event featured program leaders as speakers, including Prof. Dr. apt. Akhmad Kharis Nugroho, M.Si., Head of the Doctoral Program in Pharmaceutical Sciences; Dr. Sylvia Utami Tunjung Pratiwi, M.Si., Secretary of the Doctoral Program in Pharmaceutical Sciences; Prof. Dr. apt.Ikawati, Head of the Master of Clinical Pharmacy Program; Prof. Dr. apt. Dwi Endarti, M.Sc., Head of the Master of Pharmacy Management Program; and apt. Muhammad Novrizal Abdi Sahid, S.Farm., M.Eng., Ph.D., Head of the Master of Pharmaceutical Sciences Program. The speakers presented the distinctive features of their respective programs, including areas of specialization, research opportunities, learning systems, and career prospects for graduates.

In addition to the program presentations, participants received information about academic and research facilities, international collaboration opportunities, and various forms of academic support available to graduate students. An interactive question-and-answer session demonstrated the participants’ strong enthusiasm for learning more about postgraduate study opportunities at the UGM Faculty of Pharmacy.

Through this Open House, the UGM Faculty of Pharmacy hopes to provide broader access to information for prospective students while attracting talented individuals to pursue master’s and doctoral studies within the faculty. The event also served as a platform to showcase the faculty’s role in producing highly competent and globally competitive human resources in the field of pharmacy.

This initiative aligns with the UGM Faculty of Pharmacy’s commitment to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 4 (Quality Education) through the provision of access to high-quality higher education, SDG 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth) through the development of skilled professionals ready to contribute to the workforce, and SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals) through strengthening networks with universities, industries, and healthcare institutions to support the advancement of pharmaceutical education and research.
