Yogyakarta, August 19, 2026 — The Pharmacist Professional Study Program (PSPA), Faculty of Pharmacy, Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM), held a Stadium Generale as part of the orientation program for new students of the Pharmacist Professional Study Program for the 2026/2027 Academic Year. The event took place on Wednesday (19/8) at the Auditorium, 8th Floor, Advanced Pharmaceutical Sciences Learning Center (APSLC), Faculty of Pharmacy UGM.

Carrying the theme “From Rx to ROI: The ABC of Healthcare Marketing,” the session featured Deni Krisnamurti, APAC OTC Expert Communication Manager at Haleon, as the keynote speaker. The session was moderated by apt. M. Rifqi Rokhman, M.Sc., Ph.D.
The Stadium Generale provided participants with insights into the dynamics of healthcare marketing, particularly the strategies involved in developing and positioning healthcare products. The discussion explored how marketing approaches in the healthcare sector can be designed not only to achieve business objectives but also to create meaningful value and impact for consumers and the wider pharmaceutical industry.
Through the session, students were introduced to the connection between pharmaceutical knowledge and the broader aspects of the pharmaceutical industry, including product development, consumer needs, communication strategies, and value creation. Insights from an industry practitioner also offered students a practical perspective on how healthcare marketing operates in a professional setting.
The event served as an opportunity for PSPA students to broaden their understanding beyond clinical and pharmaceutical competencies while developing a more comprehensive perspective on the healthcare ecosystem. Exposure to industry practices is expected to help students prepare for diverse professional roles and respond effectively to the evolving needs of the healthcare sector.

The Faculty of Pharmacy UGM continues to strengthen learning experiences that connect academic knowledge with professional practice. Through activities such as the Stadium Generale, students are encouraged to develop multidisciplinary perspectives and gain a deeper understanding of
the opportunities and challenges within the healthcare industry.
The activity contributes to SDG 3 (Good Health and Well-Being), SDG 4 (Quality Education), and SDG 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth) by strengthening students’ educational experiences and professional readiness in the healthcare sector.
