Yogyakarta, June 8, 2026 — The Faculty of Pharmacy at Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) welcomed an academic visit from Prof. Anton Eisenhauer of GEOMAR Helmholtz Centre for Ocean Research Kiel on Monday (June 8). The event took place in the Leadership Meeting Room (RSP) at the APSLC Building, Faculty of Pharmacy UGM, and marked the opening agenda of Prof. Eisenhauer’s visit under the EQUITY Visiting (Inviting) Top Professors program.
The meeting was attended by the leadership team of the Faculty of Pharmacy UGM, along with several faculty members whose research areas are relevant to Prof. Eisenhauer’s expertise, particularly in stable isotope chemical analysis and its diverse applications in multidisciplinary research. The discussion was productive and focused on opportunities to strengthen research collaboration, joint scientific publications, and the development of broader academic partnerships in the future.
In his welcoming remarks, the Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy UGM, Prof. Dr. apt. Satibi, expressed his appreciation for Prof. Eisenhauer’s visit. According to him, the visit holds strategic significance in expanding the faculty’s international network and enhancing the quality of collaborative research.
“This visit represents an important step toward strengthening international research networks and collaborations. We hope that the partnership established through this engagement will continue to grow and provide mutual benefits for both institutions,” said Prof. Satibi.
During the meeting, Prof. Eisenhauer also introduced the profile of GEOMAR Helmholtz Centre for Ocean Research Kiel, one of Germany’s leading research institutions operating under the umbrella of the Helmholtz Association. The discussion covered various opportunities for research collaboration, the expansion of international scientific networks, and the potential to enhance student and researcher mobility between the two institutions.
The visit also served as a valuable opportunity to reinforce the academic relationship that has already been established between Prof. Eisenhauer and several researchers from the Faculty of Pharmacy UGM. Over the past few years, collaborations between the two parties have resulted in joint scientific publications, providing an important foundation for more strategic cooperation in the future.
