Bandung, February 6, 2026 — A student team from the Faculty of Pharmacy Universitas Gadjah Mada secured third place in the Health Hackathon Competition at Pharmanova organized by the Pharmacy Student Association of ITB. Pharmanova ITB 2025/2026 serves as a platform for young Indonesians to learn and develop ideas and innovations across the health sector.
Pharmanova is a national level health competition open to high school students, university students, and the general public, organized by the Pharmacy Student Association HMF Ars Praeparandi ITB. The event is designed to accommodate innovative ideas from across the nation to support the development of the healthcare sector in Indonesia. To achieve this goal, Pharmanova ITB 2025 2026 featured six competition categories including Health Hackathon, Pharmaceutical Industrial Case Study, Patient Counseling Event, Pharmacy Olympiad, Poster Competition, and Essay Competition.
The Health Hackathon competition consisted of three stages, namely the preliminary round, semifinal, and final. In the preliminary stage, participants were required to submit an abstract based on a given case. Ten selected finalists advanced to the semifinal round where they delivered a short pitch online in front of the judges. The top five finalists then proceeded to the final round to present a long pitch offline at the School of Pharmacy Institut Teknologi Bandung, Ganesha Campus. Winners were determined by a panel of judges with expertise in relevant fields.
The abstract submission stage was conducted online from November 22 to December 14, 2025. The semifinal round took place on January 10, 2026 through an online meeting platform. The final round was held offline on February 5, 2026 at the School of Pharmacy Institut Teknologi Bandung, Ganesha Campus.
In this competition, the Universitas Gadjah Mada Pharmacy team named Bismillah Bandung, led by Alyssa Izzatee Fauzi along with Iffah Zakiya Yasmin and Sabina Rizkia Putri, successfully won third place in the Health Hackathon Competition category. First place was awarded to team Teilen from Universitas Padjadjaran and second place to team Clever from Institut Teknologi Bandung.
Through this achievement, it is expected to inspire students to develop strong motivation to act professionally in addressing patient needs and solving real world clinical problems. This accomplishment also demonstrates the presence and competitiveness of Universitas Gadjah Mada and its Faculty of Pharmacy at both national and international levels.
As a closing, this achievement contributes to the Sustainable Development Goals SDGs, particularly SDG 3 Good Health and Well being through innovative healthcare solutions, SDG 4 Quality Education through strengthening student competencies, and SDG 9 Industry Innovation and Infrastructure through the development of creative ideas in the health sector. This achievement highlights the commitment of the Faculty of Pharmacy UGM in advancing impactful and sustainable innovation for society.
