    Professor Vermeulen Explains the Importance of Writing Good Manuscripts for Publication

    UGM Pharmacy – There are many reasons why people publish their writings. Among them is to get a promotion, to get an academic degree, some are intentionally intended for financial orientation. Whatever the reason, in making a good scientific paper, one should pay attention to the important variables used in assessing whether the work can be published or not.

    At the workshop which was held by the Faculty of Pharmacy UGM for two days on June 24-25, 2019, Professor Vermeulen emphasized that the manuscripts which get good scores from both reviewers and editors are the original manuscripts. “Novel research results and methods will provide added value in the eyes of reviewers,” he explained. read more

    University of the Pacific Exploring Collaboration with Faculty of Pharmacy UGM

    The Dean of Faculty of Pharmacy Universitas Gadjah Mada (FP UGM) Prof. Dr. Agung Endro Nugroho, M.Si., Apt. along with the Vice Dean for Research, Community Service, Collaboration, and Alumni Dr. Endang Lukitaningsih, M.Si., Apt. gladly received the delegation of the University of the Pacific, California at the Dean’s Office on Friday, June 28, 2019. Among the delegates are Associate Provost for Research  Dr. James Uchizono, Associate Dean for Graduate Education and Research Dr. Xiaoling Li, and Dr. Miki Park. read more

    Faculty of Pharmacy UGM to Organize Immersion Program with Ngee Ann Poly

    Faculty of Pharmacy (FP) UGM received a visit from Deputy Director of Student Development at Ngee Ann Polytechnic (NP) Singapore on Wednesday, June 19, 2019.  He was warmly welcomed by the Dean of FP UGM Prof. Dr. Agung Endro Nugroho, M.Si., Apt. along with the Board of Vice Deans Prof. Dr. Triana Hertiani, M.Si., Apt. and Dr. Endang Lukitaningsih, M.Si., Apt. at the Dean’s Office.

    Proposing to collaborate in organizing an immersion program, Dr. Koh mentioned, “our students in Singapore are required to attend an overseas  immersion program, and we notice that Indonesia particularly Yogyakarta provides a strategic and good environment.”  The proposed program is primarily designed to allow the students to develop cultural awareness and to learn about certain topics related to pharmaceutical sciences. In line with the proposed concept, Professor Hertiani briefly described the Jamu Summer Course Program which has been held these past three years and could be tailored to accommodate both students from FP UGM and NP Singapore.     Faculty of Pharmacy UGM Signs Cooperation with Taipei Medical University

    Faculty of Pharmacy Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) has opened collaboration with College of Pharmacy Taipei Medical University (TMU). The collaboration was established during the visit made by the Dean of Faculty of Pharmacy UGM, Prof. Dr. Agung Endro Nugroho, M.Si., Apt., along with the Vice Deans Dr. Endang Lukitaningsih, M.Si., Apt. and Dr. Satibi, M.Si., Apt. to Taiwan on February 2.

    Their visit was warmly welcomed by the Vice President of TMU and the Dean of College of Pharmacy TMU Prof. Chieh-Hsi Wu and Prof.  Jing-Ping Liou, respectively. The memorandum of agreement signing ceremony was also attended by Prof. Wei-Chiao Chang, Prof. Hsiang-Yin Chen, Prof. Jen-Ai Lee, Prof. Ching-Chiung Wang, and Prof. Heng-Lin of TMU. College of Pharmacy at TMU manages six smaller units namely School of Pharmacy (bachelor/master/PhD programs), Graduate Institute of Pharmacognosy, Master Program for Clinical Pharmacogenomics and Pharmacoproteomics, Master Program for Biotechnology and Pharmaceuticals, PhD Program in Biotechnology Research and Development, and PhD Program for Clinical Drug Discovery from Botanical Herbs. read more

    UGM’s Faculty of Pharmacy Establishes Collaboration with China Medical University

    The Dean of Faculty of Pharmacy Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) Prof. Dr. Agung Endro Nugroho, M.Si., Apt., along with the Vice Deans Dr. Endang Lukitaningsih, M.Si., Apt. and Dr. Satibi, M.Si., Apt. paid a reciprocal visit to China Medical University (CMU) on Friday, February 2. The initiation of this collaboration has been started since the Dean of Office of Global Affairs TMU Prof. Liang-Yo Yang made an official visit to Faculty of Pharmacy UGM in September 2017. He invited the UGM researchers or alumni to pursue a PhD program and develop research collaboration at CMU. read more

    Faculty of Pharmacy Keeps Optimizing the Use of IT

    Turning 71, Faculty of Pharmacy UGM keeps working toward providing a good example for other pharmaceutical institutions by making various improvements. Although it has produced many graduates and achievements, Faculty of Pharmacy UGM continues to improve it services in education and administration.

    Therefore, in academic year 2017/2018, the beginning of curriculum 2017 implementation, education based on learning outcomes leading to pharmacist profession is enacted for the bachelor programme. This curriculum is characterised with integration of soft skills as a form of learning and assessment methods renewal. read more

    To Change Paradigm of Pharmaceutical Practices

    Pharmacist profession building process for 65 years in Indonesia has indeed brought many changes. Regulations have been made as such to go in line with pharmaceutical practices. Corresponding to Government Regulation no 51/2009 on pharmaceutical works, the role of pharmacist has been concretely and clearly defined. With this regulation, the pharmacist is expected to focus more on giving pharmaceutical care so that the patient receives optimal outcome of the drug and treatment.     Pharmacy Got Talent 2017

    FMB or Pharmacy Got Talent is one of the series of the Anniversary Celebration of Faculty of Pharmacy UGM held on September 21, 2017. Bringing up a theme “Unity over Culture Diversity”, the performance from each class is expected to be able to unite the diversities of ethnics, cultures, thoughts, and talents. Therefore, FMB also provides a chance to show the hidden talents in front of whole students of Faculty of Pharmacy UGM. FMB is officially opened by Dean of Faculty of Pharmacy UGM. “The faculty always supports various student activities to practice their soft skills and talents,” said the Dean in his speech. read more
