Pharmacy UGM – The Faculty of Pharmacy, Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM), welcomed Dr. Hendra Gunosewoyo, a senior lecturer from Curtin Medical School, Curtin University, Australia. The purpose of this visit was to strengthen the friendly relationship between the UGM Pharmacy Faculty and Curtin University and explore potential collaboration opportunities in the field of Health Science.
Dr. Hendra Gunosewoyo’s visit was received by the Vice Dean for Research, Community Service, Cooperation, and Alumni, Dr. rer.nat. apt. Nanang Fakhrudin, M.Si, on Tuesday (21/01) at the APSLC Building of the Faculty of Pharmacy UGM. During the meeting, discussions on various collaboration potentials between the two institutions were conducted successfully. This visit also marked the beginning of planning collaborative programs that would be beneficial for both academic and research levels.
This visit is expected to strengthen the relationship between the Faculty of Pharmacy UGM and Curtin University, and serve as a foundation for further collaboration. During the meeting, both parties identified several potential areas for collaboration, including joint research, student mobility, visiting professors, guest lectures, and curriculum matchmaking. The Faculty of Pharmacy UGM looks forward to further discussions to form a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) to establish an official collaboration.
This visit is a positive move that is expected to expand academic networks and enhance the quality of education and research in the fields of pharmacy and health. Additionally, this collaboration initiative aligns with the Faculty of Pharmacy UGM’s commitment to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 3 (Good Health and Well-being), SDG 4 (Quality Education), and SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals), through collaboration programs that both institutions will initiate.
