2017 is the first year in which ISPE Indonesia Affiliate holds Student Poster Competition. And who knows that this currently held event is a beginning step of the success of Indonesia at international level. Student Poster Competition Indonesia took place on May 9-10, 2017 in Jakarta which is linked with the Annual Conference titled Continual Improvement. In this competition, the participants are obliged to make a scientific poster with topics of Research and Development, Facilities, or Business Operations of Interest to Pharmaceutical Industry.
Faculty of Pharmacy UGM sent two delegates, Nurul Pangestuti winning the 2nd place and Amalia Miranda, S.Farm coming out as the first winner by presenting poster titled Double Coated Nanoparticle prepared by Chitosan-Sodium Tripolyphosphate and Alginate-Calcium Chloride. Behind Amalia’s success, there are some other researchers helping her, among them are Ummi Hadiba Ciptasari, S.Farm., Ariyani Kusniasari S.Farm., Dewa Ayu Arimurni, M.Sc., Apt., Made Dwi Pradipta Wahyudi S., M.Sc., Apt., and some lecturers as their supervisor Dr. Hilda Ismail, M.Si., Apt., Dr. rer. nat. Ronny Martien, M.Si., and Prof. Dr. Sismindari, SU., Apt.
Not satisfied with her success, as the first winner Amalia Miranda advanced her chance to represent Indonesia in Student Poster competition ISPE Singapore titled Innovating for Next Generation Pharma Manufacturing on August 23-26, 2017 at Suntec Singapore. Besides being the only delegate from Indonesia, the competition jury also announced her as the 2nd winner of the competition. Meanwhile the first winner is Himanshu Kathuria from National University of Singapore, and the 3rd winner is Ekanong Pirunkaset from Mahidol University.
