Strengthening Synergy and Campus Comfort, UGM Pharmacy Class of 2001 Alumni Donate 5 Garden Benches

Yogyakarta, 14 September 2026  – The Faculty of Pharmacy, Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) once again received a meaningful contribution from its distinguished alumni network. On Monday, September 7, 2026, at 16:30 WIB, a symbolic handover ceremony took place for 5 garden benches contributed by the Alumni Class of 2001 at the Faculty of Pharmacy UGM campus environment.

The donation was symbolically presented by Mr. Hakim, representing the Class of 2001 alumni. The contribution was warmly received by the faculty leadership, represented by the Vice Dean for Research, Community Service, Cooperation, and Alumni, Prof. Dr. rer. nat. Apt. Nanang Fakhrudin, M.Si., alongside the Vice Dean for Finance, Assets, and Human Resources, Prof. Dr. rer. nat. Apt. Endang Lukitaningsih, S.Si., M.Si. The 5 garden benches have been strategically installed around the campus mosque and garden area. The addition of these facilities is intended to foster a greener, more comfortable, and serene campus atmosphere for students and academic staff to interact, study, and unwind.

The faculty leadership expressed their sincere gratitude for the continuous support and commitment shown by the Class of 2001 alumni. This initiative not only strengthens the bonds between the alumni and their alma mater but also demonstrates a sustained synergy toward building an inclusive learning environment and well-maintained public spaces within the Faculty of Pharmacy UGM.

This contribution aligns closely with the Faculty of Pharmacy UGM’s dedication to advancing the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The provision of comfortable seating in public spaces supports SDG 11 (Sustainable Cities and Communities) by enhancing green and accessible campus public spaces. Furthermore, it supports SDG 4 (Quality Education) by offering a conducive informal learning atmosphere for students outside the classroom, and SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals) through strong partnership and ongoing collaboration between the faculty and its alumni for the advancement of the institution.
