Yogyakarta, June 30, 2026 – The Faculty of Pharmacy, Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM), welcomed a delegation from the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) Indonesia on Tuesday (June 30) at the Leadership Meeting Room (707), APSLC Building, Faculty of Pharmacy UGM. The visit served as an opportunity to strengthen institutional relations and explore potential collaborations in education, research, and international partnerships.
The JICA Indonesia delegation comprised Takeda Sachiko, Agnes Zikya, Verawati Triastuti, and Nazalia. They were warmly received by Prof. Dr.rer.nat. apt. Nanang Fakhrudin, M.Si., Vice Dean for Research, Community Service, Cooperation, and Alumni, and Prof. Dr.rer.nat. apt. Endang Lukitaningsih, M.Si., Vice Dean for Finance, Assets, and Human Resources of the Faculty of Pharmacy UGM.

The meeting was held in a productive and engaging atmosphere, providing a platform for discussions on potential areas of collaboration. Both parties exchanged insights on programs and initiatives that could strengthen academic capacity, promote research and innovation, and expand international cooperation in support of higher education development.
The visit reflects the Faculty of Pharmacy UGM’s commitment to expanding global partnerships that enhance the quality of education, research, and community engagement. Through collaboration with international organizations such as JICA, the faculty continues to foster knowledge exchange, innovation, and human resource development that contribute to both national and global progress.
The visit also supports the achievement of several Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 4 (Quality Education) by strengthening international collaboration to enhance higher education, SDG 9 (Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure) through the promotion of research and innovation via strategic partnerships, and SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals) by fostering cooperation between higher education institutions and international organizations to advance sustainable development.
