Yogyakarta, October 19, 2025 – Student representatives from the Faculty of Pharmacy, Universitas Gadjah Mada, have once again achieved brilliant success in the non-academic field. Pekan Olahraga dan Seni Universitas Gadjah Mada (PORSENIGAMA) is an annual event organized to hone students’ skills in sports and arts. This year, the event was held in October-November 2025.
In this karate competition, Evelyne Dyah Pradnya Paramita successfully won 3rd place in the Women’s Individual Kata for Karate, with a representative from the Faculty of Agriculture joined the same podium. The 2nd place was secured by Sekolah Vokasi (SV) UGM, while the 1st place was acquired by the Faculty of Psychology.
Through this brilliant achievement, it is hoped that this enhanced the Faculty of Pharmacy’s presence in non-academic, particularly in sports within UGM. Furthermore, it serves as encouragement for other students who wish to excel beyond their academic skills.
This achievement also aligns with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), specifically SDG 3 of Good Health and Well-being through physical activity in karate competition participation; SDG 4 of Quality Education through the development of talent, soft skills, and non-academic interests; and SDG 5 of Gender Equality by highlighting the participation and success of women in sports, including martial arts, demonstrating that female students have equal opportunities to compete and excel.
