Yogyakarta, 23 Desember 2025 – The Faculty of Pharmacy conducted an Open Doctoral Promotion Examination for the Doctoral Program in Pharmaceutical Sciences on Tuesday, 23 December 2025, held at the 8th Floor Auditorium, APSLC Building, Faculty of Pharmacy, from 09.00 to 13.00 WIB. This academic event represents the highest level of assessment in doctoral education, aimed at evaluating scholarly competence, scientific contribution, and the originality of research before the conferral of a doctoral degree.
In this open examination, Iin Ernawati, M.Farm. Klin., served as the doctoral candidate, presented and defended her dissertation before a panel of examiners and invited guests. The open nature of the examination reflects the Faculty’s commitment to academic transparency, integrity, and excellence in higher education.
This is the first time that the UGM Faculty of Pharmacy held an open Doctoral Promotion, and it is a manifestation of the Faculty of Pharmacy’s commitment to maintaining academic quality. Through this academic milestone, the Faculty fosters a rigorous scholarly environment that encourages critical thinking, innovation, and scientific responsibility.
This activity is aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 4 (Quality Education) through the provision of high-quality doctoral education, SDG 3 (Good Health and Well-being) by promoting pharmaceutical research that supports better health outcomes, and SDG 9 (Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure) by encouraging scientific innovation and research as a foundation for sustainable development in pharmaceutical science.
