Jakarta, 29 November 2025 – The Master’s Program in Pharmaceutical Sciences at the Faculty of Pharmacy, Universitas Gadjah Mada, has officially earned “Excellent” Accreditation from the Indonesian Accreditation Agency for Higher Education in Health (LAM-PTKes). This recognition is based on the Accreditation Committee Plenary Meeting Report No. 012/LAM-PTKes/BA Akr/XI/2025 dated 29 November 2025 in Jakarta. The decision confirms that the Master’s Program has met the highest standards in academic quality, institutional governance, and continuous quality improvement. The accreditation is valid for five years, with mandatory annual monitoring and evaluation to ensure that the program consistently meets national quality standards. Accordingly, the accreditation is effective until 29 November 2030.
LAM-PTKes operates under the legal foundations of Law No. 12/2012 on Higher Education, Ministry Regulation No. 44/2015 on Higher Education Standards, and the Ministry of Education and Culture Decree No. 291/P/2014 on institutional operational recognition. Its accreditation assessments cover curriculum quality, faculty capacity, learning facilities, institutional governance, and the relevance of graduates to the needs of the health sector.
This achievement reinforces the Faculty of Pharmacy UGM’s commitment to delivering high-quality education, producing impactful research, and fostering innovation in the pharmaceutical sciences. It also aligns with contributions to several Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), including SDG 3 (Good Health and Well-being) through strengthened health workforce capacity and pharmaceutical science development; SDG 4 (Quality Education) by providing inclusive, high-standard, and globally competitive graduate education; and SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals) through enhanced research collaboration, institutional partnerships, and knowledge exchange at national and international levels.
