Yogyakarta, June 29, 2025 — Students from the Faculty of Pharmacy, Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM), have once again achieved outstanding success on the international stage. A team named Team A10 won First Place in the Advanced Category at the IPSF Industrial Skills Event 2025, held online on July 13, 2025.
The team consists of Daffa Yafindalisti El Gamal (2021), Muhammad Didan Fahrezi (2021), Dzaki Hasan Nasrullah (2023), and Anggit Wignya Adi Prasasti (2022). Organized by the International Pharmaceutical Students’ Federation (IPSF), this prestigious competition brings together pharmacy students from around the world to sharpen their analytical and innovative skills in the pharmaceutical industry.
This year’s participants were challenged to tackle a real-world case study related to formulation issues in cosmetic product manufacturing, reflecting the rapid growth of the global beauty industry. Team A10 stood out through their comprehensive pitch deck titled “Restoring the Promise of LipoRet-B: A Scientific Solution for a Stable and Effective Skincare Innovation Delivered by Multi Marketing Strategy.” Their project presented an evidence-based scientific solution to address product stability problems, accompanied by a creative marketing strategy to reintroduce the product to the market.
“In the preliminary stage, we spent a full day discussing and drafting our proposal. In the final round, we completed the pitch deck within one day and used the next day to write our script and rehearse our presentation,” explained team member Dzaki Hasan Nasrullah. The team’s strong collaboration and intensive preparation enabled them to deliver a thorough market analysis and a well-structured approach aligned with the judges’ evaluation criteria.
This achievement not only reflects the academic excellence and professionalism of UGM Pharmacy students but also supports the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 3 (Good Health and Well-being) through scientific innovation in health and cosmetics, SDG 9 (Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure) by strengthening research and technological development in the pharmaceutical sector, and SDG 12 (Responsible Consumption and Production) by promoting safe, effective, and sustainable product formulations for society.
