UGM Pharmacy Student Wins 3rd Place at the 2025 National English Speech Competition

Yogyakarta, September 13, 2025 — The Faculty of Pharmacy, Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM), has once again achieved a proud accomplishment at the national level. Fauzia Amrina Rosyada, a student from the Faculty of Pharmacy UGM, successfully won 3rd Place in the English Speech Competition 2025, organized by the Society of English Education Department Student (SEEDS), Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Universitas Lampung. The competition attracted 70 participants from various high schools and universities across Indonesia and featured three categories: Speech Competition, Storytelling Competition, and Scrabble.

The event consisted of two stages, a preliminary round and a final round, with ten finalists selected to compete for the top three spots. Participants were evaluated based on content, delivery, and diction, following the Toastmasters International Speech Contest guidelines. Through her strong and inspiring English delivery, Fauzia secured third place, proudly representing the Faculty of Pharmacy and UGM on the national stage.

This achievement not only reflects the academic excellence and communication skills of UGM students but also aligns with the university’s commitment to supporting the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 4 (Quality Education) by enhancing global communication competence, SDG 10 (Reduced Inequalities) by providing inclusive opportunities for students from diverse backgrounds, and SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals) through inter-university collaboration at the national level.
