Pharmacy UGM – The Dharma Wanita Persatuan (DWP) of the Faculty of Pharmacy, Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM), once again held its Pertemuan Rutin Anggota (PRA) featuring a Mini Seminar themed “KSM Dermatology, Venereology, and Aesthetics” on Friday, March 14, 2025. The event took place at the Auditorium of APSLC, 8th floor, Faculty of Pharmacy UGM, attended by members of DWP Faculty of Pharmacy UGM and featured expert speakers from the Dermatology, Venereology, and Aesthetics Medical Staff Group of UGM Academic Hospital (RSA UGM).
The event commenced with an opening speech from the Chairwoman of the DWP Faculty of Pharmacy UGM, who emphasized the importance of education on skin health, particularly in addressing the aging process. Following this, the seminar proceeded with a presentation on “Skin Aging and Its Treatments” delivered by Dr. Hafidzah Nurmastuti, M.Med.Sc., Sp.D.V.E., and Dr. Nurwestu Rusetiyanti, M.Kes, Sp.D.V.E., Subsp.Ven. The session covered various aspects of skin aging, strategies for maintaining healthy skin, and available aesthetic solutions. Participants gained direct insights from dermatology experts on factors influencing skin aging, preventive care, and effective skincare treatments.
Beyond being a platform for knowledge sharing, the Mini Seminar also strengthened the bonds among members of the DWP Faculty of Pharmacy UGM. By understanding the significance of proper skincare, participants are encouraged to apply the knowledge acquired in their daily lives.
Through this initiative, the DWP Faculty of Pharmacy UGM remains committed to providing beneficial educational programs for its members, particularly in health and well-being. This activity also aligns with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), specifically SDG 3 (Good Health and Well-being) by raising awareness about skin health, and SDG 5 (Gender Equality) by empowering women with access to quality health information.
