UGM Faculty of Pharmacy Collaborates with Medical Cluster in “SENSASI” Activity to Realize Health Promoting University

Yogyakarta, September 19, 2025 – The Faculty of Pharmacy at Gadjah Mada University (UGM) successfully held SENSASI (Exercise, Breakfast, and Gathering) as part of a collective effort to realize a health promoting university. This event was a collaboration with the Faculty of Medicine, Public Health, and Nursing (FK-KMK) and the Faculty of Dentistry (FKG) UGM, and was attended by leaders, academic staff, and lecturers from all health clusters.

Held in the north courtyard of the PHCC Faculty of Pharmacy, the event began at 7:30 a.m. with an energetic exercise session, followed by health checks for all participants. The series of events then concluded with a breakfast together, creating an atmosphere of togetherness and kinship between faculties.

The Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy UGM, Prof. Dr. apt. Satibi, M.Si., stated, “The SENSASI event is not only about maintaining physical health, but also strengthening synergy and collaboration among academics. This is a tangible manifestation of our commitment to continue promoting a healthy lifestyle on campus.”

The cross-faculty collaboration in the SENSASI event aligns with several Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). First, this event supports SDG 3, Good Health and Well-being, by promoting an active lifestyle and providing health check-up services, which are important preventive measures. Second, through collaboration with FK-KMK and FKG, this activity reflects SDG 17, Partnerships for the Goals. Inter-faculty synergy demonstrates how strategic partnerships can strengthen institutional efforts to achieve common goals, namely better health for the entire community. Finally, by creating a positive and healthy work environment for staff and faculty, this initiative also contributes to SDG 8, Decent Work and Economic Growth, as the well-being of education workers is key to productivity and sustainable growth.
