FMB or Pharmacy Got Talent is one of the series of the Anniversary Celebration of Faculty of Pharmacy UGM held on September 21, 2017. Bringing up a theme “Unity over Culture Diversity”, the performance from each class is expected to be able to unite the diversities of ethnics, cultures, thoughts, and talents. Therefore, FMB also provides a chance to show the hidden talents in front of whole students of Faculty of Pharmacy UGM. FMB is officially opened by Dean of Faculty of Pharmacy UGM. “The faculty always supports various student activities to practice their soft skills and talents,” said the Dean in his speech.
Like other talent seeking competitions, FMB also has some judges to assess every performance presented by each class. The judges are none other than lecturers in Faculty of Pharmacy UGM, and this time three appointed lecturers given chances to witness the extraordinary talents are Dr Hilda Ismail, M.Si., Apt.; Ratna Budhi Pebriana, M.Sc., Apt., and M. Novrizal, M.Eng., Apt. Besides, to make the atmosphere lively, each class has to send a fans club as a supporter and cheerleading, so all class members can take part actively in FMB even without directly performing on stage.
Not only does FMB offer interesting performances but also some free door prizes such as vouchers and goodie bags for the lucky performers and audience. As an appreciation of the performances, the Committee of Dies natalis provides a prize for first winner, runner up, most favourite performers, and best supporters in a form of cash money as much as 400,000 IDR; 300,000 IDR; 200,000 IDR; and 200,000 IDR respectively. The fortunate winners are Industrial Pharmacy Class of 2014 (1st winner), Pharmaceutical Science and Technology Class of 2014 (2nd winner), Class C of 2015 (most favourite performers), and Class C of 2016 (Best Supporters). Congratulations to the winners, and a huge cheer goes to those who have not won the competition, and see you on the next FMB (Student Executive Board of Faculty of Pharmacy)
