Sleman, June 29, 2025 – In implementing the Tridharma of Higher Education mission, the Master of Pharmacy Management Program (MMF), Faculty of Pharmacy, Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) organized a Community Service event. The event took place on Sunday, June 29, 2025, from 08:00 AM to 04:00 PM WIB, at Dukuh Nasri, Sumbersari Village, Moyudan District, Sleman Regency, the Special Region of Yogyakarta.
The event, aimed at all residents of Dukuh Nasri and its surrounding areas, features various activities focused on enhancing health and well-being. The series of activities includes health promotions, free health screenings, such as blood sugar and high blood pressure checks, as well as a group exercise session. This initiative represents the tangible support of the UGM Master of Pharmacy Management Program for public health and serves as a platform for students and lecturers to apply their knowledge directly.
This community service event is not only a form of social responsibility but also aligns with the global agenda of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Through free health screenings and the promotion of a healthy lifestyle, this activity directly contributes to Goal 3, Good Health and Well-being. The involvement of a higher education institution in providing health education to the public also supports Goal 4, Quality Education. Furthermore, the collaboration between UGM as an academic institution and the local community in Dukuh Nasri is a clear example of Goal 17, Partnerships for the Goals, which emphasizes the importance of multi-stakeholder cooperation in achieving sustainable development.
