Pharmacy Faculty UGM and Dr.B Lab Korea Strengthen Global Pharmaceutical Research Collaboration with Partnership Agreement

Pharmacy UGM – The Faculty of Pharmacy Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) and Dr.B Lab Korea officially signed an Academic Cooperation Agreement aimed at strengthening collaboration in the fields of pharmaceutical research, product innovation, and global healthcare technology development on Tuesday (February 11).

The agreement was signed by the Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy UGM, Prof. Dr. Apt. Satibi, M.Si., accompanied by the Vice Dean for Research, Community Service, Collaboration, and Alumni, as well as the Vice Dean for Academic and Student Affairs, and the CEO of Dr.B Lab, Prof. Bonglee Kim, at the Leaderboard Court Room (RSP) on the 7th floor of the APSLC Building, Faculty of Pharmacy UGM. This collaboration aims to expand international academic networks and accelerate the development of innovative pharmaceutical research that can have a positive impact globally in pharmaceutical field. read more

Academic Visit from Kyung Hee University: Agreement on International Collaboration with the Faculty of Pharmacy UGM

Pharmacy UGM – On Tuesday (11/2), the College of Korea Medicine Kyung Hee University (KHU), South Korea, paid an academic visit to the Faculty of Pharmacy, Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM). The visit aimed to strengthen international relations and discuss and finalize an academic cooperation agreement between the two institutions. The representative from the College of Korea Medicine KHU, Prof. Bonglee Kim, was welcomed by the Faculty of Pharmacy UGM’s leadership team, along with several lecturers and academic staff. read more

PSPA Pharmacy UGM Holds In Vitro Diagnostic Guest Lecture to Start New Semester

Farmasi UGM – The Pharmacist Professional Program (PSPA) of the Faculty of Pharmacy, Gadjah Mada University (UGM) held a guest lecture titled “From Development to Patients: The Journey of In Vitro Diagnostic (IVD)” on Monday (February 10th) at the Auditorium on the 8th floor of the APSLC Building, Faculty of Pharmacy, UGM.

This guest lecture, which also served as the inaugural lecture for new PSPA students in the Even Semester of the 2024/2025 Academic Year at UGM’s Faculty of Pharmacy, aimed to provide new insights to students regarding in vitro diagnostic (IVD) products, how these products are developed, tested, produced, and how their use is related to the pharmacist profession. read more

Pharmacy UGM – On Friday (24/1), the Faculty of Pharmacy, Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM), took part in the Career Week 2025 event organized by the Career Planning Department of Kesatuan Bangsa School, Yogyakarta. This annual event aims to provide students with insights into various career options and the educational pathways required to achieve their career goals. Faculty of Pharmacy UGM Holds FGD on the Development of Veterinary Drug Prescription Training Modules

Pharmacy UGM Wednesday (22/1), the Faculty of Pharmacy at Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) held its second Focus Group Discussion (FGD) on Veterinary Pharmacy and Population-Based Veterinary Drug Prescription. This event was a follow-up to the first FGD conducted on December 19, 2024. The discussion aimed to refine the conclusions from the previous session and develop additional materials on prescription guidelines for the Veterinary Drug Responsible Officer (PJTOH) training module.

The FGD was facilitated by the UGM Faculty of Pharmacy and attended by various stakeholders, including the UGM Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, the Indonesian Veterinary Medical Association, the Indonesian Veterinary Drug Association, and the Central Board of the Indonesian Pharmacists Association. The forum aimed to formulate a policy brief on universal veterinary drug regulations, covering aspects such as drug management across different sectors, technical guidelines for pharmacist licensing by the Ministry of Agriculture, as well as standards and guidelines related to veterinary drugs. Curtin University Visits Faculty of Pharmacy UGM: Exploring Collaboration Opportunities

Pharmacy UGM – The Faculty of Pharmacy, Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM), welcomed Dr. Hendra Gunosewoyo, a senior lecturer from Curtin Medical School, Curtin University, Australia. The purpose of this visit was to strengthen the friendly relationship between the UGM Pharmacy Faculty and Curtin University and explore potential collaboration opportunities in the field of Health Science.

Dr. Hendra Gunosewoyo’s visit was received by the Vice Dean for Research, Community Service, Cooperation, and Alumni, Dr. rer.nat. apt. Nanang Fakhrudin, M.Si, on Tuesday (21/01) at the APSLC Building of the Faculty of Pharmacy UGM. During the meeting, discussions on various collaboration potentials between the two institutions were conducted successfully. This visit also marked the beginning of planning collaborative programs that would be beneficial for both academic and research levels. read more

Faculty of Pharmacy UGM and University of Otago Discuss Initiating International Collaboration

Pharmacy UGM – Monday (20/01), the Faculty of Pharmacy UGM welcomed a visit from the international team of the University of Otago to initiate collaboration between the two institutions. The event was successfully held in the Leaderboard Courtroom (RSP), 7th floor, APSLC Building, Faculty of Pharmacy UGM. This visit marks an important step in strengthening the relationship between the two institutions and opening up future collaboration opportunities.

The University of Otago delegation, Sarah Ewing and Agatha Kanakamuni, were received by the Vice Dean for Research, Community Service, Cooperation, and Alumni, Dr. rer. nat. apt. Nanang Fakhrudin, M.Si., along with the program coordinators at the Faculty of Pharmacy UGM. During the meeting, both parties discussed various potential areas of collaboration, including research, student mobility, guest lectures, visiting professors, and curriculum development that could enhance the quality of education in pharmacy. read more

Faculty of Pharmacy UGM Completes ASIIN International Accreditation for Five Study Programs

The Faculty of Pharmacy at Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) has successfully completed the international accreditation process by ASIIN (Accreditation Agency for Degree Programmes in Engineering, Informatics, the Natural Sciences, and Mathematics) for five study programs. The assessment, conducted on January 15-16, 2025, encompassed the Undergraduate Pharmacy Program, Professional Pharmacist Program, Master’s Programs in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Clinical Pharmacy, and Pharmaceutical Management, as well as the Doctoral Program in Pharmaceutical Sciences. read more

Faculty of Pharmacy UGM and PT Pharma Metric Labs Establish Research and Pharmaceutical Product Development Collaboration

Pharmacy UGM – The Faculty of Pharmacy, Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) has officially established a collaboration with PT Pharma Metric Labs through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on Friday, January 10, 2025, in the Dean’s Office at the Faculty of Pharmacy UGM.

The MoU document was signed by the Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy UGM, Prof. Dr. apt. Satibi, M.Si., accompanied by the Vice Dean for Academic and Student Affairs, Dr. apt. Nanang Munif Yasin, S.Si., M.Pharm. Meanwhile, Anton Hidayat, the President Director, signed the MoU on behalf of PT Pharma Metric Labs. read more

UGM Faculty of Pharmacy Welcomes Prof. Dr. apt. Chairun Wiedyaningsih, M.Kes., M.App.Sc. as a Professor in Pharmaceutical Policy

Yogyakarta, January 9, 2025 – The Faculty of Pharmacy at Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) officially inaugurated Prof. Dr. apt. Chairun Wiedyaningsih, M.Kes., M.App.Sc. as a Professor in the field of Pharmaceutical Policy. The inauguration ceremony took place at the UGM Senate Hall, attended by distinguished academics, professors, family members, and colleagues of Prof. Chairun. This milestone marks a significant achievement in advancing pharmaceutical education and research in Indonesia.

In her inaugural address, titled “The Strategic Role of Pharmacists in Strengthening Policies for the Safety of Drug Distribution and Use in Society,” Prof. Chairun delivered an insightful discussion on the critical importance of reinforcing policies governing drug distribution and use in Indonesia. She emphasized that such measures are essential to creating a healthcare system that is safe, effective, and equitable. read more
