UGM Faculty of Pharmacy Holds Discussion for Student Recruitment with SK Plasma

Pharmacy UGM – The Faculty of Pharmacy Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) discussed with SK Plasma, focusing on open recruitment opportunities for pharmacy students in the franchise industry sector of SK Plasma. This discussion aimed to provide students and alumni of the Faculty of Pharmacy UGM with opportunities to build careers in the rapidly growing pharmaceutical franchise industry in Indonesia.

This discussion was organized as part of the Faculty of Pharmacy UGM’s efforts to bridge the gap between education and industry, particularly in the pharmaceutical sector. SK Plasma is a leader in high-tech industrial components in Korea, second only to Samsung. SK Plasma’s factory is located in Andong, Korea, and it has expanded to 20 countries worldwide, including Indonesia. SK Plasma is supported by the Indonesian Ministry of Health, focusing on cooperation in Indonesia, which includes manufacturing equipment, training staff in Andong, Korea, and constructing factories in Indonesia. read more

Discussing Collaboration Initiation, Faculty of Pharmacy UGM Welcomes Visit from PT. Mersifarma Tirmaku Mercusana

Pharmacy UGM – Friday (14/2), the Faculty of Pharmacy UGM received a visit from PT. Mersifarma Tirmaku Mercusana to discuss the potential initiation of a collaboration to strengthen the relationship between academia and the pharmaceutical industry. The meeting, held in the Dean’s Meeting Room (RSP) on the 7th floor of the APSLC Building at the Faculty of Pharmacy UGM, was attended by the Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy UGM, along with the leadership team and academic staff.

During the meeting, both parties discussed various potential collaborations, including programs to meet the needs of the pharmaceutical workforce. PT. Mersifarma Tirmaku Mercusana, a leading pharmaceutical company, also expressed its interest in supporting pharmaceutical education by providing access to the latest technology and pharmaceutical industry knowledge. read more

Dexa Group Holds Campus Hiring at Faculty of Pharmacy UGM, Opening Career Opportunities for New Graduates

Pharmacy UGM – Dexa Group has once again demonstrated its commitment to supporting the career development of pharmacy graduates by organizing a campus hiring event at the Faculty of Pharmacy, Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM). The event occurred at the Auditorium on the 8th floor of the APSLC Building, Faculty of Pharmacy UGM, on Tuesday, February 11, 2025, from 08.30 AM until completion.

The event was officially opened by the Vice Dean for Research, Community Service, Collaboration, and Alumni, Prof. Dr.rer.nat. apt. Nanang Fakhrudin, M.Si. In his opening remarks, he expressed his appreciation for the collaboration between the Faculty of Pharmacy UGM and Dexa Group in providing career opportunities for graduates. “Such events are highly beneficial for graduates seeking career opportunities in the pharmaceutical industry. We hope this collaboration continues to support the development of excellent human resources in the pharmaceutical field,” he stated. read more

Pharmacy Faculty UGM and Dr.B Lab Korea Strengthen Global Pharmaceutical Research Collaboration with Partnership Agreement

Pharmacy UGM – The Faculty of Pharmacy Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) and Dr.B Lab Korea officially signed an Academic Cooperation Agreement aimed at strengthening collaboration in the fields of pharmaceutical research, product innovation, and global healthcare technology development on Tuesday (February 11).

The agreement was signed by the Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy UGM, Prof. Dr. Apt. Satibi, M.Si., accompanied by the Vice Dean for Research, Community Service, Collaboration, and Alumni, as well as the Vice Dean for Academic and Student Affairs, and the CEO of Dr.B Lab, Prof. Bonglee Kim, at the Leaderboard Court Room (RSP) on the 7th floor of the APSLC Building, Faculty of Pharmacy UGM. This collaboration aims to expand international academic networks and accelerate the development of innovative pharmaceutical research that can have a positive impact globally in pharmaceutical field. read more

To support international services for lecturers, students, and other members of the Faculty of Pharmacy, the international affairs unit was accordingly formed in 2015. The organizational structure of the international affairs unit is under the responsibility of Vice Dean for Research, Community Service, Cooperation, and Alumni. Unit of International Affairs will be further developed in the future, with the following objectives:

  1. Improving the faculty’s reputation on the international level
  2. Improving the quality of the elements of Tridharma (Three Pillars of National Higher Education), particularly in international-level education and research.
  3. Improving the competences of the faculty’s academic community.
  4. Improving the quality of faculty graduates to be able to compete with international graduates.

The establishment of the international affairs unit at the Faculty of Pharmacy is hoped to further improve and facilitate all activities related to overseas partners.

The services provided by the international unit of the Faculty of Pharmacy in accordance with its basic tasks and functions are as follows:

  1. Supporting international services to students, lecturers, and faculty members;
  2. Maintaining and developing international cooperation with overseas partner universities and other international institutions;
  3. Initiating and implementing the MoU/MoA with overseas partner universities and other international institutions;
  4. Developing a database in cooperation with foreign institutions as well as the use of the data for the sake of cooperation development;
  5. Coordinating benchmarking activities against education in the Faculty of Pharmacy, UGM with universities abroad for educators;
  6. Coordinating international scientific meetings (conferences/seminars) at university level held in the Faculty of Pharmacy;
  7. Coordinating the activities of academic exchange with overseas partner universities and other international institutions.

Faculty of Pharmacy UGM on International Academic Mission with Leiden University through Joint Doctoral Program Agreement Signing Ceremony

Pharmacy UGM – The Faculty of Pharmacy at Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) proudly announces a significant stride in international academic collaboration with the signing of a Joint Doctoral Program Agreement with the Faculty of Science at Leiden University, Netherlands. The Signing Ceremony took place on April 25, 2024, at the Leiden University Rectorate, attended by esteemed delegations from both institutions.

The UGM delegation, led by Dean Prof. Dr. Apt. Satibi, M.Si, along with the doctoral program team, joined counterparts from Leiden University, including its esteemed Rector, Prof. dr. Hester Bijl, and Dean of the Faculty of Science, Prof. dr. Jasper Knoester. Notable colleagues specializing in international affairs and legal matters from Leiden University also witnessed the signing of this collaborative agreement. read more

Faculty of Pharmacy UGM Strengthens Collaboration with Japanese Institutions

Pharmacy UGM – The Faculty of Pharmacy at Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) has embarked on a diplomatic mission to foster and enhance collaboration with four esteemed institutions in Japan from 24 to 28 September 2023. The delegation engaged in various activities during their visit, solidifying their commitment to advancing pharmaceutical research and development.

  1. Chiba Cancer Center Research Institute (CCCRI):

At CCCRI, the UGM Faculty of Pharmacy delegation had a productive meeting with Director Yoshitaka Hippo, MD, PhD. The discussions revolved around the ongoing collaborative research supported by the e-ASIA joint research program for 2022-2024. The primary focus was on the development of anti-cancer drug compounds. The fruitful meeting concluded with an agreement to actively participate in the ICPAPS event scheduled on 3 – 5 November 2023, which will be hosted by Faculty of Pharmacy UGM. read more

The Faculty of Pharmacy UGM Strengthen Its Ties with the INMUT

Pharmacy UGM- The Institute of Natural Medicine University of Toyama (INMUT) Director, Professor Yoshihiro Hayakawa, paid a visit to the Faculty of Pharmacy Universitas Gadjah Mada (FPUGM). Professor Hayakawa has previously visited UGM as an invited speaker for short programs and has good contact with the lecturers at the FPUGM.

His visit this year was part of the INMUT mission to establish an agreement with the FPUGM. With the possibility of expanding the existing collaboration, the Dean of the FPUGM, Prof. Dr. apt. Satibi, M.Si., with its Vice-Deans, positively responded to establishing a memorandum of understanding (MoU) between the FPUGM and the INMUT. As a result, both parties signed the MoU on November 2, 2022, in front of the program managers’ representatives and students at FPUGM. read more
