Pharmacy UGM – The Faculty of Pharmacy, Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) has officially established a collaboration with PT Pharma Metric Labs through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on Friday, January 10, 2025, in the Dean’s Office at the Faculty of Pharmacy UGM.
The MoU document was signed by the Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy UGM, Prof. Dr. apt. Satibi, M.Si., accompanied by the Vice Dean for Academic and Student Affairs, Dr. apt. Nanang Munif Yasin, S.Si., M.Pharm. Meanwhile, Anton Hidayat, the President Director, signed the MoU on behalf of PT Pharma Metric Labs.
This collaboration encompasses various strategic areas, especially in research and development of pharmaceutical products, medical devices, and traditional medicine. The collaboration is expected to produce innovations that support the advancement of science and technology in the pharmaceutical field, while also providing real contributions to society.
In his speech, Prof. Satibi expressed his hope that this colaboration could serve as a significant step in strengthening the synergy between academia and industry. “This collaboration is a strategic step to encourage the development of high-quality, research-based pharmaceutical products,” he stated.
Meanwhile, Anton Hidayat added that his company is very excited about this colaboration opportunity. “We are very pleased to collaborate with the Faculty of Pharmacy UGM, which has an excellent reputation in the field of pharmacy. We believe this synergy can produce outstanding, innovative products with high added value,” he said.
This collaboration is in line with the efforts of the Faculty of Pharmacy UGM in supporting the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Through the development of pharmaceutical products, medical devices, and traditional medicine, this initiative contributes to SDG 3 (Good Health and Well-being) by improving access to safe, effective, and affordable medicines. Additionally, this collaboration also supports SDG 9 (Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure) by promoting innovation and strengthening partnerships between academic and industry for sustainable development.
