UGM Rector Inspects UM-CBT Implementation at the Faculty of Pharmacy: Ensuring Transparency and Exam Facility Comfort

Yogyakarta, June 4, 2026 – The Rector of Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM), Prof. Dr. Ova Emilia, M.Med.Ed., Sp.OG(K)., Ph.D., conducted an official visit to the Faculty of Pharmacy UGM to directly inspect the implementation of the 2026 UGM Computer-Based Independent Test (UM-CBT) on Thursday, June 4, 2026. Arriving at around 9:00 AM, Prof. Ova Emilia and the university leadership headed straight to the CBT Laboratory located on the 7th floor of the Advanced Pharmaceutical Sciences and Learning Center (APSLC) Building, Faculty of Pharmacy UGM. This inspection aimed to ensure that the entire student admission selection process ran smoothly, transparently, and accountably, supported by a robust infrastructure.

The inspection focused on the technical readiness and the comfort of the facilities provided to support the participants during the examination. The CBT Laboratory on the 7th floor of the APSLC Building had been optimally prepared with adequate computer units, alongside a conducive layout and lighting arrangement for the prospective students. Beyond the physical aspects of the room, a layered invigilation system and strict standard operating procedures were applied on-site to anticipate any form of misconduct, thereby guaranteeing the integrity and validity of the exam results. .

The execution of a credible UM-CBT UGM reflects the university’s concrete commitment to supporting the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 4 (Quality Education) by providing a fair and high-quality selection system to recruit the nation’s future innovators. Furthermore, the utilization of an inclusive computer-based system aligns with SDG 10 (Reduced Inequalities), as it offers equal access and opportunities for youth from various regional and socioeconomic backgrounds to pursue higher education. In the long run, nurturing excellent graduates filtered through this high-standard selection system will contribute to SDG 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth) by supplying highly competent professionals for the future healthcare and pharmaceutical industries.
