Yogyakarta, 8 December 2025 — The Doctoral Program in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Faculty of Pharmacy, Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM), has been awarded the 2025 Insan UGM Berprestasi Award in the Outstanding Study Program category. The award was presented as part of the celebration of UGM’s 76th Anniversary, in recognition of the program’s outstanding performance, academic contributions, and strategic achievements in advancing higher education.
The Insan UGM Berprestasi Award is an annual recognition given to individuals and organizational units within UGM that demonstrate exceptional performance, sustained innovation, and significant impact on the university and society. This achievement reflects the strong commitment of the Doctoral Program in Pharmaceutical Sciences to maintaining academic excellence, strengthening a research-oriented culture, and expanding scholarly contributions at both national and international levels.
Over the past several years, the Doctoral Program in Pharmaceutical Sciences has consistently recorded various strategic achievements, including improvements in the quality of research outputs and publications in reputable international journals, the strengthening of global research collaborations, active involvement of faculty members and doctoral students in multidisciplinary research, and the continuous development of a curriculum that is responsive to scientific advancements and societal needs. These accomplishments also support the achievement of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) in higher education and align with UGM’s vision as a world-class research university.
This achievement is also in line with UGM’s commitment to supporting the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 4 (Quality Education) through the delivery of high-quality, globally competitive doctoral education; SDG 9 (Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure) through the strengthening of pharmaceutical research and innovation; and SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals) through national and international research collaborations.
