Yogyakarta, May 20, 2025 – Gadjah Mada University (UGM) students have once again made a proud achievement at the national level. At the 2025 Health Future Competition held by Pekalongan University, a multidisciplinary team won first place in the Essay category.
The team was led by Novia Rahmadhani Azizah (Faculty of Pharmacy) along with Orva Linnisa Husaina (Physics Engineering) and Lidya Rahmadhani (Agricultural Industry Technology). They presented Glucocare, an application-based continuous glucose monitoring device designed to help diabetics monitor and manage their blood glucose levels in real time. This innovation is expected to provide a practical solution for the community in maintaining health while preventing disease severity.
This achievement aligns with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 3: Good Health and Well-being, through health innovations focused on the prevention and management of chronic diseases. With this achievement, UGM students are not only competing but also making a real contribution to addressing global challenges in the field of health.
