UGM Pharmacy Students Win First Place in Essay Competition at Pharmacomp 2025

Pharmacy UGM – Students from the Faculty of Pharmacy at Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) have once again achieved a proud accomplishment at the national level. At the Pharmacomp 2025 event organized by the Pharmacy Undergraduate Student Association (HIMAFARSI) of Universitas Muhammadiyah Pekajangan Pekalongan (UMPP), the UGM Pharmacy student team secured First Place in the Essay Competition category.

Amid a rigorous selection process, the team from UGM’s Faculty of Pharmacy, consisting of Taorin Regilian and Chavia Elvaretta Rahmayadi, outperformed dozens of participants from various top universities across Indonesia. A panel of judges, comprising academics and pharmacy practitioners, praised the UGM team’s work as a representation of critical student thinking that is solution-oriented, innovative, and impactful.

This victory adds to the growing list of academic achievements by UGM students at the national level and further reinforces the faculty’s commitment to encouraging student participation in various scientific competitions as a means of developing character and professionalism in the field of pharmacy and expanding academic networks.

The success of the UGM Pharmacy student team in the Pharmacomp 2025 Essay Competition also aligns with their commitment to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 3 (Good Health and Well-being), SDG 4 (Quality Education), and SDG 9 (Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure).  (Rara/HumasFA)
