UGM Pharmacy Students UGM Win Awards at Clinical Pharmaceutical Skill Event Competition

Pharmacy UGM – Bachelor Students of the Faculty of Pharmacy at Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) have once again demonstrated their clinical prowess on the national stage. The “Danke Schön” team, comprising Enrico Bramantyo Adi Nugroho, Anggelita Rahmadhani Nur Setio Budi, and Faizah Amalia, secured Runner-Up in the Clinical Pharmaceutical Skill Event (CPSE) Kofein 2025. This prestigious competition, organized by the Faculty of Pharmacy at Universitas Airlangga in Surabaya, took place on January 25-26, 2025, with the theme “Oncological Human Body Disease.”

The Danke Schön team, all 2022 batch students, exhibited outstanding performance from the preliminary rounds, which tested their understanding of biopharmaceutics, pharmacology, pharmacokinetics, and pharmacotherapy. Their success continued into the offline semifinal stage, where they skillfully solved clinical cases and provided counseling during an Interprofessional Education (IPE) session. This session directly aligns with Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) No. 3: Good Health and Well-being, emphasizing the critical importance of interprofessional collaboration in healthcare to deliver optimal services and enhance patient quality of life, especially in managing complex diseases.

In the final round, Team Danke Schön competed intensely in a quick-quiz format against top-tier teams from other prominent universities. Despite the fierce competition, they secured the Runner-Up position, showcasing their critical thinking, speed, and precision in a clinical pharmacy context.

According to Enrico, the competition served as a crucial platform to hone critical thinking skills and adaptability to complex clinical scenarios. Anggelita added that the IPE experience broadened their understanding of cross-professional collaboration in healthcare, a vital aspect supporting SDG No. 17: Partnerships for the Goals. Such interprofessional partnerships are essential for building stronger and more responsive healthcare systems. Faizah also highlighted the significance of time management and team cohesion in navigating the challenges.

This achievement not only brings pride to the Faculty of Pharmacy UGM but also underscores the institution’s commitment to preparing competent graduates ready to contribute to the national healthcare system. The innovation and collaborative spirit demonstrated by the Danke Schön team are in line with the ethos of SDG No. 4: Quality Education, as UGM continuously strives to provide pharmacy education that is relevant, adaptive, and capable of producing professional healthcare personnel equipped to face global challenges.

Team Danke Schön expressed their gratitude for the full support from the Faculty of Pharmacy UGM and hope this experience will inspire other students to continue developing their competencies and confidently embrace national-level challenges.
