Yogyakarta, October 27, 2025 — The Faculty of Pharmacy, Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM), welcomed a visit from 100 students of SMAS IT Nur Hidayah Sukoharjo, Central Java. The activity, held in Lecture Room 2, Unit I of the Faculty of Pharmacy, aimed to provide insights into higher education opportunities and the Bachelor of Pharmacy program at UGM.
The visit began with a warm welcome from Andrian Dion Pridadi, S.Kom., Head of the Administrative Office. In his opening remarks, he encouraged the students’ enthusiasm, especially as many of them are currently exploring study programs and universities for their future education.
Following the opening, the students attended a presentation delivered by apt. Fathul Muin, M.Pharm., Lecturer at the Faculty of Pharmacy, UGM. He shared information about UGM’s undergraduate admissions and gave an overview of the Bachelor of Pharmacy program as well as various admission pathways to public universities (PTN). His engaging presentation covered admission schemes, curriculum, career prospects, and the crucial role of pharmacy in global health, aligning with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in promoting inclusive and quality education.
The students showed great interest in the opportunities available in the field of pharmacy, as well as UGM’s global partnerships that enhance the quality of education and research. This aligns with the SDGs’ goal of fostering global partnerships for sustainable development, highlighting the importance of collaboration in education.
The visit concluded with a tour of the faculty’s learning facilities and laboratories. This session not only provided students with a closer look at the academic environment but also allowed them to interact with members of the academic community at the Faculty of Pharmacy. Experiences like this are essential in motivating students to pursue higher education and contribute to their personal and professional growth.
The visit from SMAS IT Nur Hidayah Sukoharjo to the Faculty of Pharmacy UGM reflects a strong commitment to educational access and the importance of global collaboration in advancing learning opportunities, in line with SDGs 4 and 17. By inspiring the next generation of students, UGM continues to play a vital role in shaping the future of education in Indonesia.
