Yogyakarta, June 22, 2025 – Two students from the Faculty of Pharmacy, Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM), Alyssa Izzatee Fauzi (23/522016/FA/14041) and Keysha Khairunisa (23/522028/FA/14042), have achieved a remarkable accomplishment by winning Second Place in the Drug Packaging Design Competition CREOPSY X SIGNA 2025. The national-level competition was organized by Sekolah Tinggi Farmasi Indonesia and attracted dozens of teams from various universities across Indonesia.
The competition consisted of two stages: the preliminary round, held from June 4 to 10, 2025, and the final round, held from June 19 to 22, 2025. Participants were challenged to present innovative drug packaging designs that were not only visually appealing but also emphasized ergonomics, patient safety, and environmental sustainability.
Representing UGM, Alyssa and Keysha created a drug packaging design that successfully combined aesthetic and functional aspects, considering user-friendliness for patients as well as compliance with modern pharmaceutical safety standards. Their work received high praise from the judges for being innovative, creative, and offering applicable solutions for the pharmaceutical industry.
This achievement further strengthens the reputation of the Faculty of Pharmacy UGM as an institution that not only prioritizes academic excellence but also supports the development of soft skills, creativity, and student competitiveness through active participation in national and international competitions. Alyssa and Keysha’s success aligns with the faculty commitment to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 3 (Good Health and Well-Being) and SDG 12 (Responsible Consumption and Production). Through their innovative drug packaging design that is ergonomic, safe, and environmentally friendly, they have demonstrated a tangible contribution to improving patient safety by enhancing the information presented on pharmaceutical product packaging. The active participation of students in this competition reflects their enthusiasm in creating creative solutions that support inclusive and environmentally conscious health systems, while also reinforcing the role of higher education in advancing the global sustainable development agenda.
