Yogyakarta, May 21, 2026 — The Faculty of Pharmacy, Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM), held the Golden Reunion of the Class of 1976 in a warm and joyful atmosphere at the APSLC Building of the UGM Faculty of Pharmacy. The event served as a special occasion for alumni to reunite, strengthen friendships and connections, and reflect on the academic journey and dedication they have shared over the past five decades.
The event was attended by the Dean of the UGM Faculty of Pharmacy, Prof. Dr. apt. Satibi, M.Si., along with the faculty leadership team, the chairperson of the Golden Reunion committee of the Class of 1976, and alumni of the UGM Faculty of Pharmacy Class of 1976.
In his remarks, the leadership of the UGM Faculty of Pharmacy expressed appreciation for the alumni’s contributions and loyalty to their alma mater. The golden reunion was not only a nostalgic gathering, but also an opportunity to strengthen collaboration and alumni support for the future development of the institution.
Representing the Class of 1976 alumni, Drs. apt. Masrizal Achmad Syarief also expressed gratitude and pride in being able to reunite with fellow alumni and the academic community of the UGM Faculty of Pharmacy. A warm and friendly atmosphere was felt throughout the event as participants shared stories, memories, and career experiences.
On this occasion, the Dean of the UGM Faculty of Pharmacy also presented the latest developments within the faculty, including academic strengthening initiatives, improvements in educational and research facilities, institutional achievements, and the future direction of the faculty’s development. Alumni were also invited to view documentation showcasing the development of the Faculty of Pharmacy’s buildings and facilities as a reflection of the institution’s progress over time.
As a symbol of appreciation and togetherness, the Class of 1976 alumni presented commemorative gifts and souvenirs to the UGM Faculty of Pharmacy. The presentation was conducted by alumni representatives to the Dean of the Faculty and was followed by a group photo session with all attending alumni of the Class of 1976.
This Golden Reunion is expected to further strengthen the relationship between alumni and their alma mater, while also inspiring younger generations of UGM Faculty of Pharmacy students to continue contributing to society, the nation, and the healthcare sector.
The Golden Reunion of the UGM Faculty of Pharmacy Class of 1976 also reflects the Faculty’s commitment to supporting the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 4: Quality Education through strengthening alumni networks that support quality higher education development; SDG 3: Good Health and Well-being through alumni contributions in the fields of health and pharmacy that positively impact society; and SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals through fostering sustainable collaboration and relationships between alumni and the institution in advancing education, research, and community service.
