Pharmacy UGM – The Faculty of Pharmacy, Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM), welcomed a delegation from the University of Groningen, the Netherlands, on Tuesday (20/8). The meeting was held at the Faculty of Pharmacy UGM’s Meeting Room and attended by the Faculty of Pharmacy’s leadership, representatives from UGM’s Office of International Affairs, and delegates from the University of Groningen.
The University of Groningen delegation included Tim Zwaagstra, M.A. (Senior Policy Adviser Southeast Asia), John Falvey, M.A. (International Policy Advisor Oceania and Southeast Asia), and Liza Ten Velde (Policy Adviser Internationalization Faculty of Science and Engineering).
This visit aimed to discuss the review and finalization process for the Double Degree Program at the doctoral level and explore the development of a Student Exchange Program. Additionally, the University of Groningen introduced John Falvey as their new staff member, who will support collaboration efforts in Southeast Asia and Oceania, including partnerships with the UGM Faculty of Pharmacy.
This collaboration aligns with the shared commitment to supporting the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 4: Quality Education, and SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals. Through this collaboration, both educational institutions can support each other in achieving the goals set out in the SDGs, particularly those focused on education and sustainable development.
