Strengthening Ties, Faculty of Pharmacy UGM Family Holds 1447 Hijri Syawalan Gathering

Yogyakarta, 26 March 2026 — Concluding the holy month of Ramadan with a renewed spiritual spirit, the Faculty of Pharmacy at Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) held a 1447 H Family Syawalan gathering on Thursday, March 26, 2026. Hosted at the 8th Floor Auditorium of the APSLC Building, the event adopted the theme “Achieving the Muttaqin Degree: Elevating Forgiveness, Grounding Integrity, Perfecting the Essence of Self” as a reflective foundation for the entire academic community.

The event, attended by faculty members, academic staff, retired personnel, and student representatives, commenced with the recitation of the Holy Quran and remarks from the Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy UGM, Prof. Dr. apt. Satibi, M.Si. In his address, the faculty leadership emphasized that the momentum of Eid is not merely a tradition of mutual forgiveness but a means to strengthen brotherhood and moral commitment in carrying out professional responsibilities with full integrity.

The highlight of the event was the sermon (tausiyah) and prayer delivered by Ust. apt. Cahyadi Takariawan, S.Si.. The core message centered on the importance of using the values of piety as a driver in creating a harmonious and productive workplace environment. The sense of togetherness was further enhanced during the Syawalan Pledge led by Prof. Dr. apt. Akhmad Kharis Nugroho, M.Si., followed by a social gathering and lunch.

This Syawalan gathering also reflects the faculty’s commitment to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). This activity directly supports SDG 16 (Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions) by fostering a work culture rooted in transparency and integrity, as well as SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals) by building solid synergy among the academic community to advance educational institutions and future healthcare services.
