Enterprise Architecture (EA) is a strategic approach that enables educational institutions to map, design, and integrate business processes with information systems, making them more efficient, effective, and sustainable. Through this workshop, the Faculty of Pharmacy UGM aims to design EA-based academic business processes that will serve as a reference in the development of academic information systems, while supporting the faculty’s vision and mission.
The event was attended by the Vice Dean for Finance, Assets, and Human Resources; Heads and Secretaries of Study Programs (Undergraduate, Master’s, Doctoral, and Pharmacy Professional Program); the Head of the Administration Office; Heads of Working Groups for Academic and Student Affairs, Administration, Finance, and General Affairs; the Academic Team; and the faculty’s information systems development team. The participation of these leadership and working groups underscores the faculty’s strong commitment to building an integrated academic system that is adaptive to digital advancements.
The workshop featured speakers from UGM’s Digital Transformation Office and the UGM Information Systems Development Team. The outcomes of this activity are expected to serve as a foundation for the development of a more comprehensive academic information system that is responsive to the needs of students, lecturers, and academic staff.
Through this workshop, the Faculty of Pharmacy UGM reaffirmed its concrete steps in supporting modern, transparent, and sustainable higher education governance. This initiative also contributes to the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly Quality Education (SDG 4) through the improvement of academic services, Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure (SDG 9) through the application of digital innovation in education management, and Partnerships for the Goals (SDG 17) through synergy with various stakeholders within UGM.
