Yogyakarta, 8 December 2025 — The Faculty of Pharmacy, Universitas Gadjah Mada, proudly announces that Prof. Dr. Apt. Abdul Rohman, S.F., M.Si. has been selected as a Recipient of the UGM Award 2025. This decision was made based on the deliberations of the UGM Award Selection Committee, which conducted a thorough evaluation of all nominations and supporting documents. The award recognizes his significant contributions to the advancement of halal product research, the strengthening of national halal standards, and the enhancement of research quality within UGM.
The award will be presented during the Open University Meeting on Friday, 19 December 2025, from 08.00 to 10.30 WIB at Grha Sabha Pramana, 2nd Floor, Universitas Gadjah Mada.
His extensive work in halal research is closely aligned with key global sustainable development agendas, including SDG 3 (Good Health and Well-being) through the improvement of product safety and quality for consumers; SDG 4 (Quality Education) through capacity-building in research and responsible science-based academic mentoring; and SDG 9 (Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure) through the development of innovative analytical methods that support the downstreaming and global advancement of halal research.
