Yogyakarta, April 16, 2026 — The Postgraduate Program of the Faculty of Pharmacy, Universitas Gadjah Mada, organized the New Student Orientation and Study Program Introduction for the Even Semester Academic Year 2025/2026 at the Auditorium of the APSLC Building, 8th Floor. This event marked an important starting point in welcoming new postgraduates students and introducing them to the academic environment they will experience throughout their postgraduate studies.
The orientation featured several distinguished speakers who provided comprehensive insights for the new students. The event was officially opened by the Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy UGM, Prof. Dr. apt. Satibi, M.Si., who delivered the opening remarks. This was followed by a session on faculty and program introduction presented by the Vice Dean for Academic and Student Affairs, Prof. Dr. apt. Nanang Munif Yasin, M.Pharm. Students were also introduced to UGM values and academic ethics by Prof. Dr. apt. Akhmad Kharis Nugroho, M.Si. In addition, a session on building mental resilience for postgraduate studies was delivered by Diana Setyawati, M.HSc.Psy., Ph.D.
The orientation was designed to help new students adapt to the academic environment, understand the postgraduate learning system, and develop both mental and social readiness in facing the challenges of advanced study. Beyond academic preparation, the event also served as a platform to foster interaction, collaboration, and a sense of community among students from the very beginning of their journey.
This activity aligns with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 4 (Quality Education) by providing inclusive and comprehensive academic preparation, SDG 3 (Good Health and Well-being) through strengthening students’ mental resilience, and SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals) by encouraging collaboration among faculty leaders, lecturers, and students in building a supportive and sustainable educational ecosystem.
Through this orientation, the Postgraduate Program of the Faculty of Pharmacy UGM hopes that new students will begin their academic journey with strong understanding, collaborative spirit, and optimal mental readiness to achieve excellence in the future.
