Pharmacy UGM – On Wednesday (5/2), the Faculty of Pharmacy at Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) held a Morning Tea event focused on the Fast Track Program and Massive Open Online Courses (MOOC). The event took place in the 8th-floor auditorium of the APSLC Pharmacy UGM building and aimed to enhance faculty members’ understanding of the Fast Track program and the implementation of MOOC in learning. The event was opened with welcoming remarks by the Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy UGM, Prof. Dr. apt. Satibi, M.Si.

The first speaker, Dr. Irwan Endrayanto Aluicius, S.Si., M.Sc., from the Directorate of Academic Studies and Innovation at UGM, delivered a presentation on “Strategies for Expanding Knowledge and Skills through Micro-Credential Modules on the UGM Online Platform.” He provided an overview of UGM Online and elaborated on the concept of Micro-Credentials in MOOC development. Additionally, he discussed video production standards for MOOC content, including key components of Micro-Credentials, filming techniques, and guidelines for lecturers using UGM Online. This session aimed to equip faculty members with a comprehensive understanding of UGM Online and the criteria for educational videos uploaded to the platform.
Meanwhile, in the second session, apt. Puguh Indrasetiawan, M.Sc., Ph.D., a lecturer at the Faculty of Pharmacy UGM, presented insights on the Fast Track Program implementation, which facilitates a seamless transition from the undergraduate (Bachelor of Pharmacy) level to the Master level (MIF and MMF programs). He introduced a draft guide for the Fast Track Program and explained its objectives, including providing opportunities for outstanding students to advance their studies to a higher level. The program also aims to help students develop in-depth expertise in pharmaceutical sciences, optimize study time efficiency between undergraduate and master’s programs, and enhance the quality of education through continuous learning.
This workshop represents a concrete step by the Faculty of Pharmacy UGM in supporting higher education transformation through digital technology utilization and academic acceleration programs. The initiative aligns with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 4 (Quality Education), by enhancing access to technology-based learning, and SDG 9 (Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure), by developing digital platforms to support inclusive and sustainable education.
Through this event, UGM Pharmacy seeks to foster further learning innovation, benefiting both students and educators in navigating future educational challenges. (Rita/HumasFA)
