Yogyakarta, July 30, 2025 – Students from the Faculty of Pharmacy at Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) have once again achieved brilliant success on the international stage. During the Asia Pacific Pharmaceutical Symposium (APPS) 2025, held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, the UGM delegation showcased an exceptional spirit of collaboration, innovation, and competition.
This remarkable achievement directly contributes to three key Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). By highlighting innovation and collaboration in pharmaceutical science, the UGM students’ participation supports SDG 9: Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure, which is vital for advancing pharmaceutical research and development. The UGM delegation’s presence at an international forum also underscores a commitment to SDG 4: Quality Education, demonstrating the outcomes of higher education that foster academic excellence and global competitiveness. Finally, involvement in this regional event, which included various countries across the Asia Pacific, emphasizes the importance of SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals, essential for knowledge exchange and achieving sustainable development objectives collectively.
The Faculty of Pharmacy UGM extends its highest appreciation to the organizers of APPS Malaysia 2025 for this valuable opportunity. “We are incredibly proud to see our students not only excel but also become inspiring agents of change in achieving sustainable development goals,” said Prof. Dr. apt.
