Surakarta, June 27, 2025 – Fahriyyatuzakiyah Al Azmi, an undergraduate student from the Faculty of Pharmacy at Gadjah Mada University (UGM), has won Third Place in the essay category of a National Essay Competition. The competition was a key part of a National Webinar event hosted by the Anafarma Student Association of the Surakarta Ministry of Health Polytechnic (Poltekkes Kemenkes Surakarta), centered on the vital theme, “Lowering-Cholesterol and Antioxidant Strategies for a Healthy Heart.”
The online competition opened for registration on April 22, 2025, with a final submission deadline of June 6, 2025. The winners were announced during the national webinar on June 27, 2025. Fahriyyatuzakiyah Al Azmi stood out among 16 participants from various renowned universities across Indonesia, demonstrating the competitive excellence of UGM students on a national stage.
This achievement is highly relevant to several Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 3 (Good Health and Well-being) by focusing on strategies to prevent non-communicable diseases like high cholesterol for better heart health. It also aligns with SDG 4 (Quality Education) by encouraging high-quality scientific research and writing, and SDG 9 (Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure) by promoting health-related innovation and the use of digital platforms for knowledge dissemination.

Fahriyyatuzakiyah’s accomplishment not only brings honor to the UGM Faculty of Pharmacy but also serves as a strong inspiration for other students to continue creating and achieving, especially in the current environment where many activities have shifted to digital platforms.
