Pekalongan, June 14, 2025 – A team of undergraduate students from the Faculty of Pharmacy at Gadjah Mada University (UGM), known as TIM 9M-WORD, has achieved a remarkable success by winning 3rd place and the Best Presentation award at the 2025 HIMKA UNIKAL National Essay Competition. This nationwide competition was hosted by the Nursing Science Student Association of the Faculty of Health Sciences at the University of Pekalongan, centered on the theme “Filter Before You Share: Fighting Stigma by Increasing Reproductive Awareness.”
TIM 9M-WORD, composed of Faqih Fikri Nuryanto (team leader), Yustisia Nur Rafidha Hestomo Putri, and Novia Rahmadhani Azizah, presented an innovative concept for a mobile reproductive health services application called “ReproPals.” The app is designed with key features to help users understand reproductive health in an accessible and engaging way. The competition was held online from April 8 to June 14, 2025, culminating in the final presentations on June 13 and the announcement of the winners on June 14.
This achievement aligns with key Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). It supports SDG 3 (Good Health and Well-being) by enhancing awareness and access to reproductive health information, SDG 4 (Quality Education) by providing an innovative educational platform, and SDG 5 (Gender Equality) by empowering individuals to make informed decisions about their reproductive health and combat stigma.
“We are incredibly proud of this accomplishment. ReproPals is our tangible effort to contribute to improving reproductive health literacy in Indonesia,” stated Faqih Fikri Nuryanto, the team leader.
The success of TIM 9M-WORD is expected to further solidify the national standing of the Faculty of Pharmacy at Gadjah Mada University and inspire other students to continue innovating and bringing honor to their alma mater through positive ideas that have a broad impact on society.
