Outstanding Achievement 45 Postgraduate Graduates of the UGM Faculty of Pharmacy Get Cumlaude Predicate in the Postgraduate Graduation Ceremony Period IV 2024/2025

Yogyakarta, 23 July 2025 – Total of 50 postgraduate graduates from the Faculty of Pharmacy, Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) participated in the Postgraduate Graduation Ceremony for Academic Year 2024/2025 Period IV, held on Wednesday, 23 July 2025, at Grha Sabha Pramana (GSP), UGM.

The graduates are 6 from the Doctoral Program in Pharmaceutical Sciences, 17 from the Master’s Program in Clinical Pharmacy, 12 from the Master’s Program in Pharmaceutical Management, and 15 from the Master’s Program in Pharmaceutical Sciences. Among all graduates, 45 were awarded cum laude honors, reflecting their dedication, perseverance, and academic excellence throughout their studies despite the technical, research-related, and social challenges they encountered along the way.

Many of the graduates began their academic journey during the COVID-19 pandemic, which demanded exceptional adaptability to online learning and limited access to laboratory facilities. However, the spirit of collaboration and unwavering support from the academic community provided a strong foundation that enabled them to persist and progress. Notably, several graduates actively contributed to strategic research projects in the pharmaceutical field that addressed real-world health challenges.

The graduation ceremony was followed by a farewell and official handover event held at the Auditorium of the APSLC Building, 8th Floor, led by the Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy UGM. Prof. Dr. apt. Satibi, S.Si., M.Si. He expressed his highest appreciation to all graduates for completing their studies at UGM.

The Faculty of Pharmacy UGM firmly believes that its postgraduate alumni play a pivotal role in addressing health-related challenges, both nationally and globally. Their academic achievements are a tangible contribution to the realization of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly Goal 3 (Good Health and Well-Being) and Goal 4 (Quality Education). The Faculty hopes that graduates will continue to embody the spirit of service and become agents of change in shaping a more equitable and effective health system. As part of an institution that continually evolves, the Faculty of Pharmacy UGM also encourages its alumni to uphold the values of integrity, professional ethics, and innovation grounded in research. Graduates are expected to bridge scientific knowledge with societal needs, positioning pharmacy as a humane and impactful field of service in today’s world.
