Ngobat (Ngobrol Bareng Dekanat): Bridging the Aspirations of UGM Pharmacy Students through Dialogue with Faculty Management

Yogyakarta, August 20, 2025 – The Department of Advocacy and Action of the Student Executive Board, Student Family of the Faculty of Pharmacy, Universitas Gadjah Mada (BEM KMFA UGM), once again held the Ngobrol Bareng Dekanat (NGOBAT) program as a two-way communication forum between students and the Faculty leadership.

The event, which took place on Wednesday (8/20) at the 8th Floor Auditorium of the APSLC Building, aimed to bridge aspirations, opinions, and constructive input from students regarding various academic and non-academic issues. Through this forum, students were allowed to directly convey their views and input to the dean’s office, thereby fostering a climate of constructive, transparent, and solution-oriented dialogue.

In this edition of NGOBAT, discussions focused on several crucial issues concerning academic and student life, including campus facilities and infrastructure, academic services, lecture activities, the Community Service Program (KKN), the Freedom to Learn – Independent Campus Program (Merdeka Belajar-Kampus Merdeka/MBKM), thesis preparation, library services, and the topic of sexual violence. These issues were discussed openly in order to formulate effective solutions to improve the quality of learning and services at the Faculty of Pharmacy UGM.

Beyond serving as a platform for student aspirations, this activity also contributes to the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly Quality Education (SDG 4) through the enhancement of academic services, Reduced Inequalities (SDG 10) by ensuring inclusive and equal access to education, and Partnerships for the Goals (SDG 17) through active collaboration between students and faculty leaders to create a supportive learning environment, adequate facilities, and increasingly optimal academic services.
