Yogyakarta, 28 May, 2025 – Tania Audria Sutopo, a student from Surakarta born on March 12, 2003, has achieved the distinction of being the top graduate from the Faculty of Pharmacy, Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) in this graduation period (Period III, Academic Year 2024/2025). Tania not only completed her studies with a near-perfect Grade Point Average (GPA) of 3.95 but also finished her education in a remarkably short period: 3 years, 5 months, and 1 day. This stellar achievement also designated her as the Valedictorian.
Reflecting on her achievement, Tania expressed deep pride and gratitude. “I feel incredibly proud and grateful; all my efforts have truly paid off,” she said, deeply moved. For her, being the top graduate is the fruit of perseverance and dedication throughout her education.
Not stopping here, Tania has meticulously planned her next steps. She is determined to pursue a pharmacist professional program at the UGM Faculty of Pharmacy before venturing into and contributing to the pharmaceutical field. “I plan to continue with the pharmacist professional program here at UGM Pharmacy, and then I hope to build a career in the pharmaceutical field relevant to my field of study,” Tania explained.
When asked about her tips for success, Tania emphasized the importance of a supportive environment. “In my opinion, finding a supportive environment is crucial—friends with whom you can discuss pharmacy topics, class assignments, practicums, and general university life. That greatly aids the learning process,” she advised.
Tania Audria Sutopo’s story and aspirations are not only inspiring to the academic community but also reflect tangible contributions to several Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Her achievement as the top graduate with a high GPA and efficient study period underscores the importance of Quality Education (SDG 4), demonstrating how dedication in a supportive academic environment can cultivate outstanding human resources. Furthermore, her goal to pursue a pharmacist profession and contribute to the pharmaceutical field is a direct contribution towards achieving Good Health and Well-being (SDG 3), considering the crucial role of pharmacists in healthcare services to ensure safe and effective medication use. Moreover, by preparing herself to become a professional in clinical pharmacy, Tania also contributes to creating Decent Work and Economic Growth (SDG 8), strengthening the health sector with competent experts and supporting sustainable economic growth.
