Masrizal Syarief Continues Leadership of KAGAMA Pharmacy for 2026–2031

Yogyakarta, September 25, 2026 – The Alumni Association of Universitas Gadjah Mada (KAGAMA) Pharmacy held the 2026 KAGAMA Pharmacy National Conference (Munas KAGAMA Farmasi) on Friday (September 25). Held at the Auditorium of the APSLC Building, 8th Floor, Faculty of Pharmacy, UGM, the event was conducted in a hybrid format and attended by KAGAMA Pharmacy members both in person and online. The 2026 KAGAMA Pharmacy National Conference was convened as the 2021–2026 term of office came to an end. The forum served as an important occasion for KAGAMA Pharmacy to evaluate the implementation of its work programs and determine the organization’s leadership direction for the 2026–2031 period.

Two main agenda items were discussed during the National Conference: the presentation of the Accountability Report of the KAGAMA Pharmacy Executive Board for the 2021–2026 period and the election of the Chairperson of KAGAMA Pharmacy for the 2026–2031 period. In the election process, Apt. drs. Masrizal Syarief was once again entrusted to lead KAGAMA Pharmacy for the 2026–2031 period. His re-election continues his leadership following his previous term as Chairperson of KAGAMA Pharmacy for 2021–2026.

The continuity of leadership is part of KAGAMA Pharmacy’s efforts to strengthen the organization’s role in developing its alumni network and fostering closer relations between alumni and the UGM Faculty of Pharmacy. KAGAMA Pharmacy is also expected to continue serving as a platform for alumni collaboration and contribution in supporting the advancement of education, research, community service, and the development of the pharmaceutical sector.

The 2026 KAGAMA Pharmacy National Conference also reflects a commitment to sustainable development in alignment with several Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Alumni contributions in the health sector support SDG 3 (Good Health and Well-being), while strengthening networks and developing the capacity of pharmacy professionals are in line with SDG 4 (Quality Education). In addition, collaboration among alumni, the UGM Faculty of Pharmacy, and various stakeholders demonstrates support for SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals). Through sustainable leadership and work programs, KAGAMA Pharmacy is expected to further strengthen its contributions to society, its alma mater, and development in the health sector.
