Yogyakarta, September 23, 2026 – The Faculty of Pharmacy at Gadjah Mada University (UGM) once again conferred degrees on new pharmacists during the Graduation Ceremony and Oath-Taking Ceremony for New Pharmacists, First Session of the 2026/2027 Academic Year, held on Wednesday, September 23, 2026. In this graduation period, the UGM Faculty of Pharmacy proudly graduated 175 new pharmacists, all of whom earned Cum Laude honors.
This year’s oath-taking ceremony was held in a hybrid format, with 171 pharmacists attending in person at Grha Sabha Pramana (GSP), Universitas Gadjah Mada, and 4 other pharmacists participating online as they are currently pursuing master’s degrees abroad. With this latest graduation, the total number of pharmacist graduates from the UGM Faculty of Pharmacy as of September 23, 2026, has reached 8,854, comprising 2,421 men and 6,433 women.
During this solemn ceremony, the UGM Faculty of Pharmacy, together with a number of leading pharmaceutical industry partners, presented awards to the top graduates. Among the distinguished pharmacists were: Hayyun Safinatul Abror, who received the Dexa Award for achieving the second-highest score on the Computer-Based Test (CBT) with a score of 91.50 and a GPA of 3.98; Vienna Laurencia Ananda, who received the Novell Award for achieving the second-highest CBT score of 91.00 and a GPA of 3.93; and Nuqya Ashfannada, who also received the Novell Award for achieving the third-highest CBT score of 91.00 and a GPA of 3.90.
Pharmacy Awards were also presented to six graduates for achieving a perfect GPA and the highest scores on the Objective Structured Clinical Examination (OSCE): Sary Hasnarani and Annabel Manuela, with a GPA of 4.00; Husna Khairunnisa, Erika Padmaningtyas, Annisa Dani Wijaya; and Fatin Alifa Muzailin, who all scored 83.0 on the OSCE. Meanwhile, Luhur Dian Wajar Sari was awarded the prestigious 2026 Kalbe Pharmaceuticals Manufacturing Awards (KPMA).
The oath-taking ceremony was attended by the Head of the Yogyakarta Special Region (DIY) Health Office, Dr. Gregorius Anung Trihadi, M.P.H. Also in attendance were representatives from industry partners presenting the awards: Mr. Ale from PT. Inertia Utama (Dexa Group), as well as Mr. Soejono Sasongko (Assistant HR Plant Manager) and Mr. Mikhael Aditya from PT. Novell Pharmaceutical Group. The oath-taking ceremony was also presided over by a group of religious leaders to reaffirm the commitment of the new pharmacists, who included H. Sangaji, SHI (Islam), CB. Ismulyadi (Catholic), Rev. Dorkas Natalina, S.E., M.Si.Teol. (Christian), Ketut Baskara (Hindu), and Listyani (Buddhist).
The induction of these new pharmacists is a tangible manifestation of the UGM Faculty of Pharmacy’s ongoing commitment to accelerating the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals. The graduation of 175 professional pharmacists directly strengthens SDG 3 on Good Health and Well-being by providing highly competent healthcare professionals to support medical services for the broader community.
On the other hand, the awarding of Cum Laude honors to 100% of graduates reflects the faculty’s success in ensuring SDG 4 on Quality Education. Furthermore, the presentation of awards involving various multinational companies such as Dexa Group, Novell, and Kalbe demonstrates a strong synergy between the academic and industrial worlds. This aligns with SDG 17 on Partnerships for the Goals, which is continuously pursued to facilitate students’ career transitions while advancing the healthcare industry in Indonesia.
