Yogyakarta, September 21, 2026 – The Student Executive Board (BEM KM) of the Faculty of Pharmacy at Gadjah Mada University (UGM) held a discussion and forum for students to voice their concerns titled “Talking with the Dean’s Office (NGOBAT) x Aspiration Space 2026” with the leadership of the UGM Faculty of Pharmacy on Monday (21/9) in the 8th-floor auditorium of the APSLC Building, UGM Faculty of Pharmacy. This event is a regular agenda held every semester as a forum for students to voice their criticisms, suggestions, and aspirations regarding the teaching and learning system, faculty policies, and non-academic activities on campus.
This open discussion was attended in person by members of the leadership, including Prof. Dr. apt. Satibi, M.Si., Dean of the UGM Faculty of Pharmacy; Prof. Dr. rer.nat. apt. Endang Lukitaningsih, M.Si., Vice Dean for Finance, Assets, and Human Resources; and Prof. Dr. rer.nat. apt. Nanang Fakhrudin, M.Si., as Vice Dean for Research, Community Service, Collaboration, and Alumni Affairs. Also present was Dr. apt. Niken Nur Widyakusuma, M.Sc., as Secretary of the Bachelor of Pharmacy Program, along with the academic office management team: Andrian Dion Priadi, S.Kom. as Head of the Academic Office; Gatot Sadewo, S.T., M.Sc., as Coordinator of Administration, Finance, and General Affairs; and Ningsririsdiyanti, S.E., as Coordinator of Academic and Student Affairs.
Throughout the discussion session, students actively raised various questions and offered constructive ideas regarding the maintenance of campus facilities, curriculum optimization, and transparency in academic services. The deans and administrators welcomed all of these suggestions and committed to following up on them as part of an ongoing evaluation process aimed at creating a more inclusive, responsive, and conducive learning environment for the entire academic community.
The continuation of this open dialogue initiative is a tangible manifestation of the UGM Faculty of Pharmacy’s commitment to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals. The availability of a forum for dialogue that bridges students and faculty leadership directly contributes to the achievement of SDG 16 on Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions through the implementation of transparent, accountable, and participatory institutional governance. Furthermore, student feedback regarding the educational system serves as a crucial foundation for continuing to accelerate SDG 4 on Quality Education, ensuring that the quality of pharmaceutical education at UGM remains relevant and adaptable to students’ needs.
