Four Educational Support Staff Members of the Faculty of Pharmacy UGM Officially Enter Retirement in 2025

Yogyakarta, 6 January 2026 — The Faculty of Pharmacy, Universitas Gadjah Mada, held a Retirement Farewell Ceremony for four Educational Support Staff members who have completed their years of service at the Faculty of Pharmacy UGM. The event took place on Tuesday, 6 January 2026, at the 8th Floor Auditorium of the APSLC Building, Faculty of Pharmacy UGM, from 09.30 to 11.30 WIB, and was attended by the faculty leadership and members of the academic community.

The four Educational Support Staff members entering retirement are Suripto, who served as a Security Officer for 24 years; Budi Santoso, S.H., who worked as a Human Resources Administrator for 35 years; Aminem, who served as an Educational Laboratory Technician for 38 years and 10 months; and Raden Sapto Priyo Atmojo, who dedicated 32 years and 10 months of service as a Driver. Throughout their careers, they made significant contributions to supporting operational continuity, academic services, and the development of a conducive working environment within the Faculty of Pharmacy UGM.

The retirement farewell marks an important moment that signifies the conclusion of a long journey of service, while also serving as a form of appreciation for the dedication, loyalty, and hard work demonstrated by the retiring staff members. Through this event, the Faculty of Pharmacy UGM expressed its deepest gratitude and respect for the strategic role of educational support staff in advancing the university’s tridharma of higher education. The atmosphere of togetherness and collegiality fostered during the event is hoped to become a meaningful memory for both the retirees and the entire academic community.

This retirement farewell ceremony also reflects the Faculty of Pharmacy UGM’s commitment to supporting the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 8 on Decent Work and Economic Growth through recognition of workforce contributions, SDG 10 on Reduced Inequalities by ensuring fair and dignified treatment for all staff members, and SDG 4 on Quality Education by strengthening an inclusive and sustainable educational ecosystem in which educational support staff play a vital role as key supporting pillars.
