Yogyakarta, 8 June 2026 — The Dharma Wanita Persatuan (DWP) of the Faculty of Pharmacy, Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM), successfully organized a community picnic to the Kopeng tourist area on Saturday, June 6, 2026. Filled with various recreational activities, this event served as a valuable momentum to strengthen fellowship, build harmony, and refresh minds amidst organizational routines.
The itinerary began in the early morning as all participants gathered at the Faculty of Pharmacy UGM campus. Before departing by assigned buses, the event commenced with a warm welcome from the Chairperson of the DWP Faculty of Pharmacy UGM, followed by a collective prayer to ensure a smooth and safe journey. After traveling to Kopeng, the group arrived at their first destination, a local Strawberry Farm, where participants thoroughly enjoyed the fresh natural scenery.

At noon, the program continued with a break for lunch and prayers (ishoma) at a nearby mosque in Kopeng. The spirit of togetherness grew even more vibrant as the group proceeded to their second destination at Kopeng Treetop Adventure Park (Kopeng Park) and Taman Pilar. At this location, the committee organized several interactive activities, including fun games with prizes and a gift-exchange tradition among members. Furthermore, participants experienced a scenic tourist train ride and spent their free time shopping for fresh vegetables and fruits at the local market before performing the Asr prayer and heading back to Yogyakarta.
This recreational initiative also reflects the commitment of the DWP Faculty of Pharmacy UGM to supporting SDG 3 (Good Health and Well-being) by focusing on enhancing the mental well-being and emotional health of its members through outdoor activities. Additionally, it aligns with SDG 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth) by actively supporting the local economy through visits to tourist sites, purchasing local agriculture, and utilizing regional transportation services.
