Yogyakarta, 9 February 2026 – The Faculty of Pharmacy, Universitas Gadjah Mada, organized a Studium Generale (Public Lecture) for new students of the Pharmacist Professional Program (PSPA) Class of February 2026 on Monday, 9 February 2026, at the 8th Floor Auditorium of the APSLC Building. The event, which took place from 09.00 to 11.00 WIB, featured experts from a renowned pharmaceutical industry to provide strategic insights and several experiences for future pharmacists.
The event was opened by the study program leadership, who emphasized that the Studium Generale is an important academic agenda to equip students with practical perspectives before starting their studies in the new semester. Through this activity, students are expected to understand the real dynamics of the professional world and prepare themselves mentally and intellectually.
The main session featured M. Naufal Robbany Zhen, the PPIC Associate Manager at PT Ferron Par Pharmaceuticals (Dexa Group). In his presentation titled “Pharmaceutical Supply Chain 101: More Than Just Making Drugs,” he provided an in-depth explanation of the vital role of Production Planning and Inventory Control (PPIC) in ensuring the availability of medicines for the public. He emphasized that the pharmaceutical supply chain is more than just making drugs; it involves precise logistics management and planning to support the national health system.
Through this activity, the Faculty of Pharmacy UGM supports the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 3 (Good Health and Well-being) by preparing competent pharmaceutical professionals in managing drug availability, SDG 4 (Quality Education) by providing practitioner-based education and industrial insights, and SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals) through strategic collaboration between the university and leading industrial partners.
